Cwt Glo eco cottage Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)/ Zip World

Cwt Glo is a cosy and peaceful cottage for two in Northern Snowdonia nestled between two mountain ranges the Carneddau and Glyderau. Cwt Glo is situated in a small village near Bethesda called Mynydd Llandygai. There is private off road parking next to the cottage. Cwt Glo is Welsh for Coal house and the cottage was the place where the coal was weighed and measured. The property has been both a farm and coal yard for the local area. Cwt Glo is a semi sustainable/off grid cottage it has a solar and wind system however there is the backup of mains electricity. There is also an LPG central heating and hot water system. The cottage has a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm in the evening after a busy day exploring the local area. We also provide the wood for your stay.

Cottage annex is all yours & we would encourage you to relax in our garden which is filled with treeferns. The garden has been featured on BBC Gardeners World & is frequently on Welsh tv ‘Garddio a Mwy’. The main cottage has been featured on Welsh house style programme ‘Dan Do’ as well as Channel 4s A Place in the Sun: Home or Away. It is a small cottage and garden; we love it & hope you will too! Outside has private off-road parking and a raised patio from which you are able to take in the surrounding greenery, as well as the stunning views of Anglesey.
