Beautiful home , we had no problems and will be back again .

We had a great stay in Jennifer's home. The house is in a beautiful location, is spotlessly clean, is well kitted out (everything we needed to cook ourselves) and the views are gorgeous. Jennifer was great at staying in touch and responded to any questions quickly. We were able to walk to beaches in Myrtleville and Fountainstown (35 mins) and Angela's shop and also walk to Crosshaven with amazing sea views (45 mins the long way). We'd like to have walked more as there are lots of walks in the area but we were visiting family and just didn't have time. We were 15 mins from Carrigaline with plenty of supermarket options but Crosshaven had enough of what we needed. We loved having morning cup of tea looking out to sea and going to sleep at night to the sound of the ocean.

Here are a few things that make Heron's Rest so special; spectacular views loads of space practical, well-equipped kitchen supremely comfy beds, linens and pillows great showers laundry room with washer and dryer lovely, separate dining room with views overlooking the Harbor spacious bedrooms with room to store and hang clothes amazing quiet great walks (forest and sea) accessible from the house The one thing that made our stay truly special, though, was Robert, who should be hired by Airbnb to teach Hosting! From the remarkably thoughtful welcome basket that included spaghetti and pasta sauce, fresh baked bread, local cheeses, biscuits / crackers, chocolate, a delicious locally produced Relish, etc. to his enthusiasm and local knowledge (the English Market in Cork City Center was great) he made our Airbnb stay very special. Thank you again!

Carola was great in all the communication. The house was perfect for our family with 5 children of different ages. Toys and books and enough spaces for each to chill. Lovely outside space and inside all available that you may need. Would certainly come back

This is a love song to Atherlow Castle. Our family of 6(all adults) stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave. We truly felt at home. There’s plenty of space for everyone to have their privacy in the castle but there was still such a comfortable feeling. The grounds are lovely, with the nicest looking herd of cows I’ve ever seen peacefully grazing on impossibly green grass. Freda and Declan were quintessential hosts! Friendly and unobtrusive with adorable bouncy dogs. The area, as described by a local tea shop owner we struck up a conversation with, is real Ireland not tourist Ireland. All of the major sites are within driving distance but the local area has hidden gems. We have stayed in wonderful Airbnbs all over the world but Atherlow Castle won my heart.

We loved our stay at Whiting Bay. The house is beautiful and set in the most stunning location. Maria was a very helpful host and responded very quickly to any queries. The house is ideal for large groups and worked so well for our family gathering. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful view of the sea and very spacious house. Dave was extremely responsive and made us feel right at home. Location also very close to a grocery store, coffee, food, etc.

Yacek was the perfect host. We were staying as part of a birthday trip/celebration and Yacek offered to provide champagne, balloons, wine, flowers and even a birthday card on arrival! It was really great and made the already lovely house part of a memorable and special occasion. To anyone thinking about booking here…do it! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Oceana. The beds were very, very comfortable and the theatre room was a hit for rewatching Derry Girls. There used to be a super market near by and it’s a short drive into Galway City. The only issue is the house can be tricky to find. We were lucky that local cousins of my husband’s scouted the area first and guided us. Otherwise, it was terrific! Highly recommend.
