Nestled at the head of Pigeon Hill Bay, our cottage is surrounded by 20 acres of fields, marshland, private walking paths, and a private pebble beach on the ocean with views of the Atlantic. Acadia National Park is nearby (1 hour plus) or take the ferry (20 minutes away) to BarHarbor. Acadia Park Schoodic Point is a must see (20 minutes). Enjoy our kayaks, our recommended day trips, blueberry picking, visiting white-tailed deer. For a full week stay we serve a lobster shore dinner for two.

Hummingbird Hollow, aka Schoppee House, is a lovingly updated two bedroom cottage nestled between the ocean and state park land. Enjoy ocean views, salt air, and the sound of waves. A quick walk to the beach or pond, you’re not too far away to run back for lunch or take an afternoon nap. Also, the house is fully heated and is suitable for the cooler months!

The main level hosts a king size master suite, beautiful chefs' kitchen, and 180-degree views. Enjoy the upper deck while getting lost in a book, grilling dinner or sneaking away to the private outdoor shower space. From the deck, you can access the downstairs where you will find an additional bedroom, bathroom and porch/deck.

We fell in love with this quiet coastal sanctuary, the perfect place to reconnect with nature while staying on grid. ☪ At night you'll experience deafening silence under the natural light of the stars. Nestled on rolling fields that lead to the ocean's edge is a serene oasis with modern full bathroom, eat in kitchen, living room (fold down sofa bed) & loft (queen bed). Birds & wildlife frequent this oceanside respite. Enjoy the blueberries (in season) that grow wild on the property & fresh coastal air from the spacious deck. Bring a canoe, paddle board, kayak or wind surfer & explore the cove. Day trips include Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park & Campobello Island, Canada.

Watch the lobster boats work their traps just in front of the house. Not appropriate for small children. Sorry, NO PETS, we're allergic :-(
