Cheerful 3 bedroom cottage on the Allegheny River

We built the summer cottage in 2006, for a summer home stayed on. We lived in the cottage 8 years when we wanted a bigger house. We love it year around. We are isolated with 3 neighbors (not close) and the river at our front door. Good boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming , hiking, bird watching (with a eagle nest across the river). December through February, it is best if you come with 4 wheel drive. Having said that , we keep the road plowed and the hill sanded.

An Aframe in the woods off the Allegheny, built for people who want to slow down. Spotless, romantic, and well stocked, this has become one of Pennsylvania's most loved getaways for anniversaries, honeymoons, or just a weekend with nothing on the calendar. Hike the Allegheny National Forest trails, paddle the river, hit the firepit at night, or just play cornhole and Yardzee in the yard. Cozy fireplace, hammock chairs on the loft balcony, AC for summer. Golf and horseback riding nearby too.

Presque Isle State Park known as Pennsylvania's "seashore" is 18 miles away and offers swimming, hiking, cycling and other recreational water activities . Beautiful lakefront cottage on Findley Lake. Completely remodeled cozy one-bedroom cottage with two docks, 150 ft. of lake frontage, and boathouse. Tucked away on a quaint woodsy lot, you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets while relaxing around the firepit. Hidden Cove offers a one bedroom with a queen mattress and futon in the living room. The kitchen is fully stocked. Just a few miles from Peak n' Peek resort where you can enjoy skiing, cycling, ziplining, segway tours, and restaurants.

Secluded along the banks of the Slippery Rock Creek is the 4th generation family cottage, fully renovated in 2017, originally built in 1940. Descend the 45 steps to the cottage and find “there’s no place like (a 2nd) home”. From the wraparound deck you may see geese, deer, bald eagles, osprey, beaver, great blue heron and ducks. You will find yourself just 15 minutes from Moraine and McConnells Mill State Parks. 15 minutes from Mines and Meadows, 10 minutes from Sunset Ranch.

Cozy country charm

My cottage has beautiful views from every side of the house and a relaxing front porch to sit and relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. It's a cozy cottage at the foot of the mountain with lots of privacy. There are no neighbors. There are horses here to enjoy watching them graze or feed them a snack. It's truly a nice getaway and still only a half hour from 3 local towns. For warmer weather there is a firepit, picnic table, grill and some nice shaded areas to relax.

During the winter months we highly recommend using vehicles with 4WD/AWD to access the property.
