Mill House - Villa on Forgotten World Highway

This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. Whether you are travelling through or looking to getaway, Mill House can provide you with tranquility and relaxation.

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Waireka Apartment

Waireka Apartment, situated in Ohakune in the Ruapehu District is a self contained 2 bedroom apartment each with a queen size bed, a large lounge with mountain views, kitchen and own spa pool. Spa Pool operates from 10am to 10pm Cleaning on departure is included in the rate. For the benefit of fellow Guests we request quiet time after 10.30pm Special Rates Ask us about our special rates for a stay of 2 nights or more. 'Painted Skies' is a modern two bedroom guest house situated on our 20 acre lifestyle block 3km from the Te Kuiti township in the heart of the King Country. Come and relax on your own private deck with a glass of bubbles and experience our extensive views to the west and picturesque sunsets. Right on route of the national cycle/walk way on a lovely farm setting in Owhango, our wee cottage is the perfect retreat after a days mountain biking, skiing or The Tongariro Crossing. Only 35mins to the Whakapapa Skifield and both 20mins from Taumarunui and National Park our place is a good base for the numerous walking or biking tracks available around our district.

The Tree House @ Wood Pigeon Lodge

The Tree House is set on a small hill in the tree tops, requiring being able to climb multiple steps for access through the bush. At the top you receive stunning views of the surrounding forest. This eco house generates its own electricity and is designed to capture the sun. It is a great base to do the Tongariro Crossing from.

Fresh clean air with the pristine Whakapapa river down the road past the glow worms. Kakahi has a night sky to die for and a country charm that is now very hard to find.
