Fra himmelsenga i stua kan man våkne til soloppgangen og er man heldig følge en turistbåt på veg til Olden med øynene. Om kvelden kan man fyre i ovnen, kjenne den gode varmen, lese en god bok og sovne til lyset av flammene og lyden fra vedovnen like ved. NB! Mikrohuset ligger i fredfylte og naturskjønne omgivelser i Solbakken- tunet på Os. Fremfor huset ligger Galleri Solbakkestova med sin tilhørende skulpturhage som alltid er åpen for allmenheten. Rundt huset beiter geiter, og man har utsikt over noen frittgående høns, og noen alpakkaer på den andre siden av veien. Huset har terrasser på begge sider, hvor det er herlig å sitte å ta inn omgivelsene og kjenne på roen. Det er også flotte turstier like ved.
