This home has plenty of character with wooden beams throughout and a large fireplace, perfect for those colder winter nights. There is also a large garden space with a BBQ and firepit which is great for summer evenings. Make the most of the local walking and bike routes with picturesque views or take a drive into the local villages of Great Bardfield and Finchingfield for a pub lunch.

Dynes Cottage at Finchingfield Holiday Cottages

A large thatched cottage dating back 400 yrs, Dynes Cottage is set in a complex of 3 houses & surrounded by beautiful countryside. With a private outdoor courtyard & a beautiful orchard, you can relax with the whole family. Sleeps 10. The cottage is just 1/2 a mile from Finchingfield, one of the prettiest villages in the country, with great pubs & tea rooms. The cottage is hosted by Catherine who lives on site. Acorn Cottage (4 bed) can be rented in conjunction with Dynes cottage.

Recently converted Nissen Barn on beautiful farm

The recently converted Nissen Barn is located on a farm in its own private meadow. The barn is surrounded by the beautiful Essex countryside - rolling hills, ancient trees, wildflowers and grasses, hedgerows, horses and sheep. The conversion was completed in March 2021 and sleeps 4 adults in 2 big bedrooms. There is also a loft bedroom accessed by a hidden door with a king size mattress suitable for older children or a couple. Perfect for families, but note there is no enclosed garden.
