Edge of the Wild - Guest House @ R Farm

1100sf, single story guest house that's a couple minutes from the town of Rifle, yet backs up to vast open space. Sheltered from view of the highway by trees, boasts tremendous sunsets over the Roan Cliffs, and views of the Hogbacks and Mamm Peak. "R Farm" is a developing farm w/ sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, and cats. The guest house is adjacent to our family home and near the barn. Abundant opportunities for local outdoor enthusiasts exist or simply stay and enjoy the abundance.

The cottage was built right after The Depression but before WWII-a unique architectural "moment in time" It's been lovingly restored and still has many original features like the 1941 Montgomery Wards Catalog kitchen cabinets. Recent review: The best place we've ever stayed at, hands down! The location felt like a dead end road, yet close to everything. The yard had beautiful flower beds, not to mention the amazing view of Mt. Garfield! The house itself was very comfortable and had anything you can imagine in the kitchen, making a few at home dinners a breeze. Owners Note: One (1) dog 45 lbs max allowed unless an additional dog is approved in advance, please include # of people and # of dogs when booking.
