Barn Stay at Shadowbrook Farm

Welcome to the Shadowbrook Farm Stay. Tucked in the hills of upstate New York, this 1700's Shaker barn has been restored into a beautiful guest house. It sits upon a two hundred acre working pasture raised meat farm. This barn was used to hold, and milk cows for two hundred and fifty years. Guests will have access to portions of the farm lands which are highlighted on the maps provided in the Farm Stay manual. If you follow the farm road, you are able to meet every farm animal on the property!

Welcome! Our 4 bedroom 2 bath "cape colonial" style home is approx. 2300 s.f. of living space nestled in a private setting. It is also so close to town you can have the best of both worlds. It's surrounded on three sides by 35 acres of a forever wild nature preserve which is part of the New York State’s “5 Rivers”. You can hike, cross country ski or snow shoe right out the back door or just sit quietly and enjoy your favorite book along side nature.... and only 2 miles from the Albany border.

The house is close to so many things to do in the area: shopping, skiing, biking, min's from RPI, UAlbany, HVCC, and just 40 min to Jiminy Peak. The property includes a master suite w/ full bathroom and laundry on the 1st floor and 2 bedrooms with a full bathroom upstairs. There is also a full kitchen and dining room on the first floor for making and enjoying meals.

Athens, NY Entire House - 1 bedroom Quiet Country Setting Spring time is a great time to escape to upstate NY. Guests have called it "a very cozy cottage in the woods". It is set back off the road and a great place to get away and unwind. 10 minutes from Exit 21 on the NYS Thruway and is an easy drive to several towns on the Hudson River. They are known for their restaurants, local shops and quaint downtowns. Area features outdoor activities: hiking trails, boating and kayaking.

Our home is a close drive from Hudson, Kinderhook or Chatham, NY and a ten minute walk to the Hudson River and a boat launch. Enjoy miles of country roads for walking and biking and our nine acres through meadows and woods on mowed paths. Guests have access to an Adirondack style cottage overlooking a pond. Close to numerous restaurants, galleries, antique shops and cultural activities. This property is good for couples, a group of friends and families.
