Second time staying here, it was splendid, the view is great, the property is clean and comfortable. The hot tub is a wonderful addition. We would definitely recommend this for a break

Absolutely wonderful stay! Ruth is a fantastic host, nothing is too much trouble. The house is stunning, picturesque in beautiful countryside, everything is top quality and all the little touches taken care of. A short drive to the coast, ideally situated for long dog walks. The perfect spot to switch off and unwind from daily life.

The hosts were helpful from the moment we booked our stay. We were given clear instructions on where to arrive and were greeted as soon as we pulled into the carpark. They explained all the necessary information and answered all of our questions and were very helpful. They were always available if we had any queries and gave plenty of local recommendations for food and activities. We would 100% recommend and would be more than happy to book again.

Fantastic stay at a beautiful location in the New Forest. The hosts were really welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful with local recommendations, the property is lovely, and all the animals were a big bonus for the kids. Highly recommended and we’d love to return.

A perfect find for a relaxing weekend with friends. This place was spotless, peaceful, spacious, filled with everything you could possibly need, and in a perfect location. We really appreciated the instructions written throughout the house, it meant there was no room for confusion and we didn't have a reason to message the host all weekend as they'd covered everything. We will absolutely be coming back.

Had a good stay and used the location as a base to explore the North Wessex Downs. The house itself was as described and the kids enjoyed the hot tub. Large garden for kids to run around in.

We just had a wonderful long weekend in Wherwell in Rob & Sue’s beautiful cottage. Such a stunning village, the cottage exceeded our expectations, Rob & Sue were fantastic hosts & the breakfast pack was great. We finished the weekend with a lovely soak in the hot tub. Beautiful house and location. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Beds were super comfy and clean. Cottage is well decorated. Perfect weekend break with the girls, would highly recommend.

Truely stunning stay. Such a beautiful home and location. Would recommend for a family stay as little ones loved the toys, charm and ample space.

Jackdaw cottage was ideally placed for us to attend an evening wedding reception at Deans Court barely 5 minutes walk away. From the cottage we visited Kingston Lacy House and grounds and Lulworth Castle. If you haven't been to either they are well worth a visit. We also visited the Minster which is beautiful and the chained library which was open. This is a cosy cottage but was just right for the three of us staying. There are takeaways really close by and plenty of coffee and cake shops to choose from in Wimborne. We parked in the public car park just down the road. Rich will advise you on the costs of this. One thing to note and which is a real plus, we timed our arrivals back at the cottage to minimise the parking charges . However, if you arrive back at say 17:00, you can buy 2 hours worth of parking which takes you up to 18:00 and then gives you the extra hour added on to the next day from 08:00 and you can then be out exploring from 09:00. I have never come across this before.

het huis voldeed geheel aan onze verwachtingen en meer: sfeervol, huiselijk, lieflijke buitenruimte en prima licatie voor het ontdekken van het mooie eiland Portland. Vlakbij bushalte voor bus naar oa Chesil beach en aan de overkant vd straat begonnen al bordjes met Public footpath oa over de cliffs richting de vuurtoren Portland Bill. We hebben in 2 dagen heel veel kunnen zien. In het huis ligt veel informatie daarover.

Very comfortable, clean and compact accommodation in a beautiful spot with easy access to Yarmouth and Freshwater (and beyond). Proximity to Golden Hill Fort country park was ideal for walking the dogs.

The cottage was comfortable and nicely furnished. We loved the rural location which was also in reach of all the attractions the Island has to offer. The bathroom is within the bedroom which wouldn't suit everyone, but fine for us. We would recommend for a peaceful break.

We had a great stay at Jo’s place for our group of 4. Cozy, charming and clean historic cottage with an up to date kitchen and bath. The beds are comfy. We loved the long narrow garden which opens up to the common green space. Couple of things to be aware of: ceilings are low (people were small back then) so tall people have to take extra care. Also the bathroom is on the first floor and the bedrooms are on the second. Jo was a responsive host and flexible with check in. Corfe castle is a great base to explore the area and village itself had some good pubs, and a good bakery. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely time staying at the cottage. The cottage was a great base for our exploring round the Isle of Wight. I can imagine the decking area is lovely in the summertime. Lots of space out the back for our dog to run around outside. The rooms were good size and clean and the kitchen well stocked with utensils and cooking items. Gail was very helpful and responsive and we are very grateful!

Place exactly as described, conveniently located near the centre of town with lots to do and we had a very comfortable stay - thank you!

We stayed here with our 2 young kids (3yo and 18 months) for 4 nights. The house is in a brilliant location. Just 1 min walk to esplanade which has a paddling pool for young kids and play area adjacent to the beach. There is also a Waitrose 2 min walk in the opposite direction. The house is approx 20mins drive to Shanklin and our kids throughly enjoyed the beach and the rides. Would highly recommend this property and will be booking it again next year.

Wow! We had such a lovely stay. We just wanted to kick back for a few days and rest and this was perfect. Perfect cottage and perfect area. The cottage is immaculately kept and so well equipped with lovely little welcoming touches. Croissants were lovely, as were the Ferrero Rocher! Hosts were excellent. We had a short Wifi outage which made no difference to us but Ashley was quick to update us that they had a supplier issue and would be fixed asap. All in all, we had a lovely time, it felt like home from home. We relaxed, enjoyed the log burner and watched the birds! PERFECT! Thank You!

What a fantastic find. Not even a 10 minute drive to longleat and 30 minutes to Bath. A beautiful home from home. The perfect place to visit with children, with books, toys and equipment. We cannot wait to come back.

A wonderful property that is perfect for holidays. Wendy is incredibly hospitable and made us feel welcome, and went the extra mile to accommodate our little one too. The property is lovely and ideally located for trips to Longleat and Stourhead.
