Stanwix Cottage dates back to the 1650s when it was part of the coaching Inn which is now the Crown and Thistle. It has been recently fully renovated and is an ideal comfortable base to tour the City of Carlisle, Cumbria, including the Lake District or Southern Scotland. It has three reception rooms including a conservatory overlooking the lovely enclosed garden with patio and three bedrooms, one ensuite. It is within walking distance of the city centre and Rickerby Park and the River Eden.

A cosy annexe just off the Hadrian's Wall path in Stanwix, Carlisle. You may wish to use nearby eateries or make yourself something in the kitchenette (small airfryer, microwave, fridge, hotplate, kettle and toaster provided) we welcome those who wish for a place to stay. A double bed and en suite shower awaits in fresh comfortable surroundings. Open to all but please be aware of access arrangements to the property -access up a lane. Free on street parking is available nearby (100m approx).

Our home has an open plan ground floor, and on the first floor there are two bedrooms and the bathroom. The whole house is available to our guests, There is some off street parking in the street beside the house and a car park 0.2 of a mile away which is £3.50 all day.
