As a group of four we had an excellent stay at Briardene. The cottage had plenty of space and was extremely well equipped and very clean and stylish. The hot tub was lovely and the quiet nights enabled a good night's sleep. There were two parking spaces which was great as the village is small with narrow roads. The village pub was warm and welcoming and the food was great. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Beautiful place to stay! Lovely enclosed garden for my two dogs to wonder around. Hot tub was lovely once we got the hang of it! Nice, clean and spacious inside. We went for a long walk round the area. Also drove to a beach about 40 mins away. Thank you again!

This place oozes rustic luxury - the house has so much character! Julian/Laura sent instructions for the parking (you can’t just put the address in and drive to it) and the parking felt super secure and was very close by. The space is beautiful - each room has its own charm and there’s a great feeling of space. Don’t come here if you want a super modern space with no uniqueness or character about it - it has an inside hammock, nooks in the garden to explore and beautiful trees/flowers growing. The hot tub is lovely and WHAT a view over the harbour! The garden isn’t fully enclosed (our dog doesn’t go far and he loved exploring it every day) so something to bear in mind. Opening the French doors to sit and eat meals was lovely, and the table tennis is great! The kitchen is kitted out with all you need. Fowey is beautiful - loads of lovely places to eat and drink - and so many pretty views! It’s a steep walk down but there is another slightly longer but less steep way to get there

We had an absolute fantastic stay at Nicola's place. We can highly recommend this most relaxing and peaceful place in stunning Cornwall. Nicola is a great host and has made us feel very welcome. She has created an absolute wonderful home away from home with everything you wish for. Thank you so much for having us. Hope to come back some time soon.

We have just returned from a wonderful few days. Claire had thought of everything for a perfect stay. The cottage was immaculate, in a great location, peaceful and we never tired of the beautiful view of Dartmoor. The hot tub was a very welcome addition after a day on the moors. We wouldn't hesitate to recommed a stay here.

We had the most amazing time staying at Alan & Davina’s Apple Barn! Pure luxury and bliss. They were great hosts and I found them overly accommodating and their place had everything we needed and more. The homemade lemon drizzle was a gorgeous touch too. Thank you for being so lovely. We will be sure to visit again!

A fabulous stay! Emma & Kevin are lovely hosts. They are both knowledgeable on the area with great recommendations. They really cared about making our stay enjoyable and relaxing which we felt. We added on some extras - hot tub, scones and sourdough. The scones and sourdough were delicious - a real treat! The hot tub was such a luxury and it’s brilliant that Kevin heats it all for you, so you just get the relaxing. The property is just like the photos and as described. It’s really well kept. Lots of beautiful finishes in the property making it such a great place to stay. It’s in a great location - 25 minutes drive to some beautiful beaches, 5 minute walk to a lovely pub with great food and beautiful gardens, 20 minute drive to Totnes and Ben’s Farm shop. We took our dog too and she was welcomed by Emma and Kevin with some special treats! The property worked well for her too with lots of great walks on the doorstep. We will definitely be booking in again! Thank you so much!

We had the most wonderful Christmas stay at this lovely cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spacious layout and how well equipped everything was. The cottage had all the amenities we needed to make our holiday special, from a good-sized kitchen to comfortable living spaces. Located in a quiet area just a stone's throw from the beach and cliffs, it offered us the perfect blend of relaxation and stunning views. Our host was incredibly responsive and made us feel right at home, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, their hospitality was outstanding. This cottage is ideal for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the festive season in a beautiful setting. We can’t recommend it enough and are already hoping to return soon!

Great value for a lovely quiet retreat for the weekend, easy to get around the North Cornish coast from the location. Accomodation was spotless and very comfortable, would happily stay again as it offered all we need.

The cottage is in a lovely location with great views from one of the double bedrooms and the conservatory and driveway. It felt very homely with the fire very useful, comfy sofas, thick stone walls. Kitchen is a little small but has everything needed, and has a spacious dining area attached. Comfortably fits 6, even 7 with sofa bed, though the two single bed mattresses feel a bit old. It was at a discounted price however with some more work said to be needed. Lovely woodland walk on the doorstep and coast very close. Very quiet and peaceful. Didn’t find pre-warned damp much of an issue. Amy was helpful and attentive though being in a different time zone. Appreciated the private space. A good find.

We had a wonderful stay here. Really easy to find - hosts gave great instructions. Thoughtfully left us milk and biscuits and a gorgeous little book with suggestions of walks pubs etc. Bed linen from Secret Linen store which was soft and luxurious. Spotlessly clean. Tracey was on hand if we needed anything. Cottage is cute and cozy and fire is wonderful. Great selection of books etc. My husband thought the kitchen was incredibly well kitted out. Absolutely loved our stay. Oh and there is the most stunning stream at the side of the garden. Drank tea by it. Blissful.

Very shortly after arriving I received a very warm welcome from Ian and Clare. I could park directly next to the cottage, which had a lovely secure & compact garden, so I knew the dogs were safe & sound. The well-maintained and good-sized paddock is brilliant for the dogs to have a quick runaround & chase the toys that can be borrowed from inside the well-equipped laundry room. Wren Cottage was pristine, with everything needed for a warm & comfortable stay. There are two very comfortable armchairs. There was always hot water and plenty of storage space in the kitchen. The dog biscuits & human treats were an unexpected and very welcome touch. The maps and local information package was very useful. The cottage is only a 10-15-min walk from the beautiful St Nectan's Glen, and a little further down the road, you can pick up the coast path & walk through Rocky Valley and into Tintagel. There is a shorter route to Tintagel if preferred. Boscastle & other places v accessible by car & bus.

Firstly Kamila and Elena were fabulous hosts, super quick to respond, very helpful with local recommendations and really friendly. We stayed at Pump Cottage, very tranquil and perfect for two adults. It was just what was needed to wind down and relax. The location is remote but within a 15 minute drive you have local amenities. Highly recommended is the Rising Sun in Altarnun, a 10 minute drive away, the food was incredible. This was a great base to go exploring and we didn't want to leave, so much so, that we have already booked to come back next month!

Totally fabulous! This is one of our favourite every Abnbs. The location was great- right on the water and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house is exactly as described and had everything we needed during our stay. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night. We particularly enjoyed: Heligan gardens; the Fowey Hall walk; hiring a boat for an hour; kayaking directly from the house (we bought an inflatable kayak with us); Readymoney beach; eating ice cream from Ruby's and King of Cones. The kids loved the upstairs bedroom because they had their own floor/bathroom but they did comment that that it gets quite light in the morning so would recommend a sleep mask or gro blind if you're a light-sensitive sleeper staying in that room.

A lovely warm quiet house with tons of character and a good atmospher. It's in a great location, close to town but away from crowds. Space for 2 cars. Kitchen was well equipped. There's a handy guide on the table with practical bits and local attractions. The beds are comfy and the sound proofing is good between rooms. It was well heated which was very much appreciated in March. Can definitely recommend.

In one word, heavenly. A Family or small group trip to explore anywhere around Devon, this is definitely a place for you —at a good bargain as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Modern house with state of the art facilities, wash rooms were great, large island kitchen with a befitting diner stood out for us. All beds and beddings were so so comfortable. Simply felt like home. Hosts Robert and Jane were great with communication so we didn’t need to call the host at any point as everything was as described. They also recommended places around, some of which were 100% for us. We would recommend a trip to Salcombe obviously as it’s a 20+ mins drive, explore the beautiful town, trip to north & south sands via the ferry and enjoy the lovely oceanic view. Highly recommend a visit to Crab Shell inn in Kingsbridge, don’t miss a trip to Torquay Marina, about 40mins drive from Goveton. Need to add that the roads to the village are narrow but in all, great experience!

This was a beautiful cottage in extraordinary countryside. Its ab absolute gem with everything you need. The beds were really comfy, so clean great showers and well equipped kitchen. Jo and her husband were warm and welcoming and very helpful when i left items of clothing and had to get in touch and return for them...no problemo Thanks for a lovely sleepover x

Staying here was an absolute pleasure, we chose this cottage mainly because it is dog friendly with an enclosed garden, and close to family friends and the event we came for. Sherry was super friendly and kept us updated about the stay all along, the cottage is really cosy and a lovely base to come home to after adventuring. When she says it's dog friendly, it really is! Some places don't let dogs freely use the place, but here it was all set up perfectly for him and he loved using the garden. It was extremely clean when we arrived, and the fresh flowers, milk, biscuits and prosecco were such lovely touches. We really enjoyed using the hot tub, it's tucked away and can see how you could enjoy it in all weather. The kitchen is well stocked so if you want to home-cook it's easy to do so, there's also plenty of plastic glasses/cups to use in the hot tub. We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be booking again!

Just got back from a long weekend here and it was fabulous. Victoria was really responsive and helpful prior to and during our stay. The cottage is gorgeous, with lots of space and has all the facilities you will need to make you feel at home. It’s a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Salcombe but this allows for a peaceful haven in fantastic surroundings once you return. We will definitely recommend to friends and will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the lovely cottage. It was so welcoming with lovely touches including dog blankets, towels, treats and holiday ID tags (for the dogs). The cottage was spotless with everything we needed. The view was beautiful and a short but picturesque walk to Polperro and a choice of dog friendly places to eat. Have recommended to family and friends.

Such a lovely little cottage, perfect for the two of us. Had everything we needed, clean, cosy, and we felt right at home. We will definitely be recommending it to others who wish to visit the area. Sehr schönes renoviertes altes Haus in einem kleinen Küstendorf. Wir haben uns bei Ross sehr wohl gefühlt. Es hat an nichts gemangelt und der Kontakt mit Ross war jederzeit einwandfrei. Wir können es absolut nur weiterempfehlen.
