My daughter & I had a wonderful relaxing break , everything was perfect & the hot tub was lovely . We had my daughter’s dog Bella with us who loved the woods & fields with easy access from the back gate . We really appreciated the fully enclosed garden. The area is absolutely stunning with easy roads compared to Cornwall . The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom had a beautiful rainfall shower . Iveta gave very clear instructions . We would love to come back in the future to explore the area more , thank you Iveta for sharing your beautiful peaceful home & the lovely basket of treats .

Amazing house and area was more than we expected would recommend amd stay again

Our only difficulty was finding our way into the property in the dark (we arrived 9ish) because we had missed their note with directions. Not their fault.

The pictures don’t show how gorgeous this place is! Amy was incredibly helpful and responsive. The view from the back garden area is beautiful, the cottage is spacious, quirky and stylish decor. The hot tub is wonderful; really hot and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the stars.

A beautiful cottage, bath with a view and lovely hot tub in private garden. Provides everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Beautiful location, so peaceful. The barn with pool table and gym was a great addition. Responsive host too, a really lovely welcome when we arrived.

Lovely stay at The Nest. Great communication from the host, beautiful home and wonderful location for exactly what we needed. Our only point to note is that the cottage is not where it says on Google & Apple Maps and there is no phone signal in the area. This meant we had to ask people in the village for their help to find the correct location. Using ‘what3words’ or clear directions would maybe be helpful for future guests 😊 Overall a lovely stay and would recommend.

we had a lovely stay at the cottage, it was very clean and tidy with all the essentials. Nice peaceful area with quiet neighbours. Gill and George were very responsive with any queries. wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We had a lovely Easter Weekend, with the house ticking all the boxes! It is fully equipped with everything you need and the best distance we’ve ever had to the local pub!! It was about a 25 minute drive to Lyme Regis and a great location for exploring the area! Alison’s communication was extremely quick throughout our stay and the check in was really clear and simple. Would definitely recommend a stay here ☺️

We loved this cottage. It was close to the centre but it’s position made it feel tucked away from the main village. We loved the views and the feeling of spaciousness that looking down across the village gave us. We loved the cosy living room and the log burning effect gas fire was very realistic. The larder was very convenient for extra storage as we cooked every evening we stayed. We hope to come and stay again.

The exact location isn't too clear when you book - but this place is actually like a small countryside heaven. It feels very peaceful and isolated, although you're within a few minutes drive from amenities (a few supermarkets) and the town centre. Sally was very helpful as soon as arrived, and super responsive all along. The cottage itself was small but perfectly fine for a family with 2 kids (the bedroom, upstairs, is really large though). All the essential was there, and in good working order. And it was great chilling on the lawn by the river, watching the sheep on the other side and the blossoming apple trees in Sally's garden, once the kids were in bed. I wish our stay had been longer to enjoy it further!

Kristina’s cottage is fantastic! Great location in Kilmington, we used it as a base for Lyme Regis/Charmouth, Hive Beach and for seeing family over in central Devon. Very clean and charming cottage that was surprisingly spacious. Everything we needed was provided, we hugely appreciated the little touches like a pint of milk to get us going and delicious scones with jam and cream, these were very thoughtful. These would elevate Kristina’s stay from 5 stars to 6 stars if we could 😊 We definitely recommend Khushi Kitchen (just round the corner from the cottage), we thought this was absolutely brilliant and tasted amazing too. We will be back very soon to stay here again, and will definitely be recommending it on to friends and family. Thank you so much Kristina 😊

We had a lovely stay at the Jackdaw cottage. Well located for access to the centre and shops. We liked the kitchen and the patio garden particularly. Note there is an Aga which we managed to use successfully thanks to a helpful cookbook. We have family in Wimborne and look forward to booking again. Penny and Matthew

Julie's place was a fantastic place to stay during our time in Portland. The place was spotless, smelt nice and had all the amenities and items you might need for your stay. Locally, the walks are absolutely breathtaking! Some of the best views I have seen anywhere! There are a few food shops and takeaways locally, all fairly priced and good food. We will definitely return!

Rowan Barn's open plan design worked very well as a welcoming space for three adults. It is set in beautiful countryside and in an excellent location for exploring this part of the Dorset coast. The cottage had everything we needed, including good access and easy parking. We have stayed in several different cottages in the area. This is the one we hope to return to. Thank you, Debra.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful, peaceful location with great walks from the door. The cottage is wonderful, really well equipped and comfortable, it has everything you need and we were very grateful that Caroline provided a cot, highchair and stair gate for our toddler. The garden was huge and perfect for our dog. Caroline and Christopher could not have been more welcoming and kind, really lovely hosts.

Jackie has the cottage set up really well. It’s ideal for a couple who want to explore Portland Bill and has everything you need in a cottage with all amenities in good working order. Approaching the cottage by car takes a bit of care but the on-site parking space is ideal and off the street. We’d go again and had a comfortable stay.

The quiet, secluded cottage provided all the basic needs; was located in the middle of the countryside and surrounded by beautiful nature. With Lyme Regis only a short drive away for an active day fossil hunting on the beach and eating fish and chips, it was the ideal location for a brief getaway for our family!

We loved our stay! Beautiful cottage that was superbly clean, lovely location with plenty to do nearby (within 20mins or so drive, plus greatwalks and pubs on the doorstep). We bumped into the hosts a couple of times and they were really friendly. Normally as a family we like to stay in diffeent properties when we head away but we are already exploring dates to return here in the Summer.

One of the best places I've ever stayed. The host laid out age appropriate toys just for my baby girl, the nursery was stunning and all the beautiful vintage toys made it feel magical. The whole property's aesthetic was carefully curated with beautiful furniture, decor and collectables, but also made you feel right at home from the first step inside. The garden was maintained to an impeccable standard and had gorgeous play equipment including the little cottage shed with playhouse set up. Listening to the birds on the morning as light poured into the living room felt heavenly. The host was very friendly and attentive throughout the whole visit, super host status very well deserved. We hope to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away into the countryside.

Peaceful location, comfortable beds, well equipped.

My partner and I where looking for a lovely countryside stay, to enjoy the fresh air and to get out with the dog for picturesque walks and Harriets place gave us just that! Slowley Farm was warm, inviting and clean - offering us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cosy indoor fireplace was lovely to enjoy in the evening and the surrounding area offered beautiful views of the countryside. We would certainly recommend the farm, as it's as beautiful on the inside as it is in the outside (with a lovely Koi fish pond!) - We would definitely stay again 😊

We had a lovely stay at Janet's. We went to visit family for a few days locally and booked last minute. Janet was very responsive, answered all questions and greeted us on arrival. Grandad's cottage is lovely, very well presented and was ideal for what we needed. It was great that we could take our dog. We didn't use the tennis courts or do any walking as we were very busy. The location is great and the parking is secure and spacious. Highly recommend Janet's place.
