The greeting we received was very friendly and welcoming. Patricia showed us to our room, which was very well set up and provided us with a small bottle of fresh milk. I had advised her that we would have to leave early as we were involved in the Pendragon Rally, which was taking place on the Warcop Military Ranges. She asked us what time we would like our breakfast, and did not baulk when we suggested 06:30. When we got up we were presented with a wonderful sight of cereals, fresh strawberries and raspberries followed by a full cooked breakfast with a lot of toast, butter, jam and marmalade. There were also a couple of bananas for us. Overall we found that this was a great find at a very reasonable price, and if we are in the area we would certainly look to returning,

We were very warmly welcomed by Sandy, who was a fantastic host, making sure we had everything we needed and also serving an excellent breakfast. Sandy's home is really beautiful - a real treat to stay in. The pillows were super comfy too, so we had a great nights sleep. We most definitely recommend it. Thank you Sandy

This was our third visit, not felt the need to look for anything else when visiting relatives in the area. It's comfortable, well priced, and Jontti is responsive and leaves lots of provisions which help when you arrive late. You even get some choice! Of the 7 Airbnb's we've used this has to be the best equipped. Recommended.

Liz and Sally made us feel welcome from minute one, lovely room in a beautiful house, will definitely look into staying here again next time we're in the area!

Our second time staying, but this time with two toddlers as well. Helen and Peter couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We felt very so welcome and they really looked after us. We all enjoyed the lovely breakfast provided and slept well in the peaceful and comfortable room. This is a perfect b&b and we would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay — 5 stars! Check-in was seamless, and the property was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. Communication with the host was easy and smooth throughout. The hot tub offered amazing views — such a relaxing treat — and the BBQ hut was a fun and cozy bonus. We also made great use of the EV charger, which was a godsend in this fantastic Lake District location. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

Exceptional! The accommodation was spacious, quirky in a good way, surprisingly well equipped, and no expense spared. Our host Ivan was extremely helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We plan to return!

Thankyou Sophia for a wonderful stay! The complimentary tea, coffee, milk, bread & butter were such a simple yet appreciative touch! I had everything I needed utensil wise to cook for myself which was fantastic, especially with the co-op across the road 😁 The decor & appearance of the property were modern yet homely, definitely well planned. The bathroom was well stocked with lush towels & soaps. The bed… the pillows & duvet… i shall be purchasing those when i get he for sure! 10/10 sleep 😴 Can we also mention the BATH?! Stunning feature & deep enough to feel like you’re in a pool. Thankyou for hosting me Sophia, would love to return. 5 ⭐! Sarah x

Zoe was a very friendly welcoming host and showed us into the accommodation and gave some great recommendations for places to eat. Perfect location for visiting Kielder observatory. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was wonderful and was above and beyond expectations. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Thanks Zoe!

Great location in Dufton right on the Pennine Way. A perfect base for walking and exploring the beautiful local countryside. Compact residence with everything you'd need. Very clean and tidy and well laid out. Friendly, personal greeting from Julie, once I'd settled in, and really nice to have fresh bread, eggs and milk provided and even a welcome cake. Any questions and Julie was on hand to help.

What a lovely find for a last minute get away. Very easy to book and communication was excellent. We were greeted by Martin, who offered to help with our luggage, quirky followed by Howard. Both hosts were friendly, chatty and welcoming and were available if we needed anything during our stay. Howie provided us with a parking permit, a bargain at £5 and Martin showed us to our suite to make sure we were happy. Recommendations for places to visit were also given The suite was spotless and had everything we needed for our short stay. Bed was super comfy, fluffy towels and it was great to have a living area to relax when we returned later in the evening. On leaving the following morning, Martin came to say bye and again offered to carry our luggage. We had a lovely time, great hosts and will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Luke & AnnaMarie’s place is perfect for exploring Moffat and the surrounding area. The spa facilities were amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Motherby House and am so grateful to the hosts, Jacquie and David, for making me feel so welcome. They’re both kind and engaging—and they gave me some great recommendations for places to eat and visit in the area. Breakfast was delicious and Jacquie kindly made me a tasty packed lunch for my hike! I’d be very happy to stay here again.

Stayed here for a friend’s wedding at a local venue, was 10 mins away and easy enough to book a cab to get there. Very clean, friendly staff (lad on his first day did a great job) and in one of the most beautiful areas of the U.K. I’ve ever visited. Portable heater in the room was very very useful as well and easy enough to figure out. Staff even returned an item I left in the room after checking out before I left, which I was really grateful for.

Beautiful warm clean accommodation . The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Bathroom was large, very clean and hot water. Julie left us a wide choice of breakfast including vegan, lovely. Very private and quiet, parking. Attention to detail was great “sheep” .

Fantastic place to stay in the Lake Distric. We went with our own car and there is private parking at the place itself. It is close to the main beautiful towns, lakes and mountains of the district, fitting every plan you might have around the area. We cannot speak about public transport from our own experience. Stuff was so welcoming, communication was so easy and they were giving us advice on the possible plans around the area, making us feel at home. We will definetly come back on our next visit to the district.

Diane was a very responsive host and an extremely lovely person. She and Ian were very helpful, the location of the BnB was excellent, the room was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and nice hot shower. Diane’s cooking was also incredible, we enjoyed two very lovely breakfasts. We would absolutely stay again!

Jayne and Karl are the most wonderful, welcoming and friendly hosts I’ve met. From the moment we arrived soaking wet from walking all day along the Hadrian’s Wall Path in the rain Jayne gave us a friendly welcome and offered to dry our wet boots. The rooms were warm, the beds VERY comfortable and the views outstanding and the peace was wonderful too. The home cooked food was tasty and cooked with great care and we opted for a packed lunch to take with us too. If you’re walking the Hadrian’s Wall Path find a way to stay here! Thank you Jayne and Karl.

We had a great stay here. The whole place is artistic and very welcoming with a great log burner. It's a great place to stay on our way to the Highlands from the south and ended up being a short (2 nights) holiday in itself. Francis was an excellent host and very helpful. We shall definitely try to stay here again. 5 stars.
