We enjoyed our stay at Robyn's cottage in the quaint Lake Canadohta community. She even let us change our dates & check in early! Had 2 fires at the fire pit, too. Comfortable bed. The Frog Pond Restaurant has a nice "hoppy" hour, which we took advantage of.

Beautiful setting even in the winter. Well stocked kitchen. The mudroom was very helpful. Ample TVs and places to relax- internet was great. Great communication with host, very responsive to any needs or questions.

My wife and I booked the entire house to accommodate a weekend with my SIL and her kids. it was a perfect layout since we needed space for two families. The lower unit is a perfect little 1 bedroom efficiency stocked with everything you could need during the stay. the upstairs was a 2 story 3 bedroom home that again contained everything you might need. access to each and between the units was easy to manage and when we closed off the access to the upstairs it felt like our own little space; we almost forgot their was a whole house above us. Nellie and Thomas were great hosts and were very responsive to our inquiries during our stay. The house is in perfect walking distance to downtown Franklin and a short drive to additional restaurants and shopping. the neighborhood is quiet and it feels secluded. the views of the Allegheny river are gorgeous and the lower deck was perfect for sitting out and enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. we absolutely look forward to futures stays!

Girls weekend getaway at this beautiful home and property! Wow! Deb was prompt and friendly in our communications. Every room was comfortable and felt like home. We especially loved the cozy fireplace, sunroom and amazing kitchen. It snowed and we felt like we were in a Hallmark movie with the lovely view of trees, water and even deer! The hot tub was relaxing and everything is absolutely spotless inside and out. We loved our stay and would like to visit again.

Paul’s place was the perfect size for our weekend with friends. We had one concern, and Paul was quick to respond and take care of it. We were disappointed to see that the lake was drained, but that was just our unfortunate timing of our trip. I would recommend the home as it is a great value for the price.

Husband and I had an amazing experience. Derek & Phyllis made us feel just like home, so welcoming and kind. The rooms were great and cozy, bathroom was beautiful, and the view outside to the river was just breathtaking especially with the sunset. We did have a major storm come through during our stay, and the owners were so thoughtful and opened up the basement for us in case of an emergency. Overall I would totally come back and stay here again, 100%.

Larry's place is a peaceful cabin like home in the forest, but also conveniently right off the road. We were a very last minute reservation, after our original travel plans were canceled by our other reservation. Larry responded immediately to our reservation and met us in person to let us into the home. He made sure we were properly settled and was always responsive. This is also a great place for travelers with pets. Thank you Larry!

Michelle is an excellent host, always friendly and helpful! The place had everything we needed including a washer and dryer. We had no problems what so ever and it exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend this beautiful and clean rental!

Very peaceful location on the river. Very clean and comfortable apartment. Fairly close to restaurants and other attractions. Perfect for our needs.

My family and I ended up renting both cottages side by side. Located on the water, we had plenty of chances to see wildlife and the view was beautiful. Both cottages were fully stocked and we felt right at home. Gary was a great host and we are very thankful to have had a beautiful weekend at the lake.

The Sunrise Inn provided a cozy and comfortable stay where great memories were made. Due to the weather, we unfortunately did not get to make a bonfire or enjoy the beautiful front porch with views of the lake, but we did see a rainbow over the lake! The kitchen and bathroom were spotless, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking / entertaining. We made breakfast at the cottage and enjoyed eating at the local restaurants (The Anchor, Frog Pond, and Happi Jax). Valerie was a very friendly and responsive host, and we would definitely recommend her place to future guests visiting the lake!

Lovely cabin along the river, would definitely stay again. Bring firewood or buy it along the road somewhere before coming to the cabin as there's a firepit outside (not listed in the description) which was lovely for people who don't want to walk down to river. Fireplace inside as well to keep you cozy at night. Like others have said, lots of DVD's to watch while unwinding after a long day on the river. There's good fishing to be had if you look around and are up for an adventure. FYI - getting to the river from the house is very steep and for healthy / athletic individuals only. We didn't mind it but my mother fresh off of a knee surgery could not come down to river. Didn't bother her but wanted to include here. Overall, rated 5/5 stars and would definitely return again.

The perfect little lake side getaway! Cute location, nice decor, beautiful views, very clean, and amazing hosts. If you’re looking for a weekend trip or a vacation on Edinboro lake this is the spot! A hidden gem.

Our family stayed at Bill's cottage for the Thanksgiving weekend, opting to stay in more "home-y" accommodations while visiting from Florida. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our week-long stay. I especially liked the open floorplan of the kitchen and living areas. Had it not been soooo cold, we would have loved to spend some time on the outside deck overlooking the river, enjoying the view....maybe next time we'll come in the summer! Bill was a thoughtful and gracious host and kept in touch with us during our stay to make sure everything was OK.

Very cute cabin located within walking distance to the campground, little park, and Sally’s place. Easy to find and fit our needs for the trip.

The cottage is in a perfect location for family to enjoy all the activities at Edinboro lake over the 4th July. Loved the smokeless fire pit. Great front porch to gather on. Would recommend this as a great family vacation destination.

Great last minute decision to book a getaway at the Hideaway. We're familiar with the area, but were blown away by the peacefulness and the remoteness we felt, even being 20-30 mins. of "civilization". We wanted a weekend to unplug and reconnect and that is exactly what we got. We had the best time sitting on the porch, watching the river flow by, reading and talking and even waving to all of the friendly people who drove by to their own camps or homes on the road. We especially found it fun to listen to the acorns dropping on our roof and the neighbor's, too. It was a great way to enjoy the beginning of fall as we watched the leaves change and fall. We even saw an eagle flying across the river while we sat on the porch. The house had EVERYTHING you could need and then some. The porch was perfect and the fire circle area was amazing. We enjoyed a fire every night and a long walk (1.75 miles) over to Creekside Snacks for lunch. (cash only). Amy & Joe have an amazing house to offer.
