Welcome the outdoors in with the 6ft kitchen hinge bar window to the upper deck or enjoy the 6-seat hot tub on lower deck. Deep water dock tie off space is available. Guests enjoy the use of 2 standup paddle boards, and lakeside fire pit (guest provide firewood). Great cove sunsets! 15 minutes to Clemson and 1 min Lighthouse Restaurant. Plenty to do - local hikes, fishing, and a mountain coaster and tubing year round at Highlands Outpost just a few minutes down the road. Highlands is only 10 miles away for a mountain city adventure.

Zen Mountain Escape: Rivers, Wineries & Solitude

Rustic beauty with modern touches all within a stones throw of two wineries. The first thing you notice here is the incredible stillness as you take in the dramatic view of clouds scraping the top of the Glassy Mountain 1200' above. Enjoy a morning espresso on the yoga platform in the trees 40' feet above the creek and then cool off after a hike/bike/paddle in the outdoor shower. Or let the summer breeze lull you into a nap on the sleeping porch sipping local wines. That's my favorite.

A spacious cottage with gorgeous Mountain Views!

If your idea of a vacation is serenity and relaxation, then the Deerfield Cottage is for you. The property sits on 12 acres, nestled in the Wayah valley just six miles from historical Franklin, NC. In the early mornings or at dusk, look for the deer that frequent the property. Often you will see fawns frolicking in the field under the fruit trees. A 100 year old corn crib harkens back to the early days when this land was part of a working farm.

We have kept a rustic theme but have the modern comforts of today including wifi, usb ports, heat/ac, a large patio with an hot tub and a cozy gas fireplace. We are located 3 miles from the trendy shops and fabulous restaurants of downtown Clayton. 7 miles north of Tallulah Falls. Wineries, distilleries, golf courses, boating, waterfalls and hiking are also nearby.
