Cwt Glo eco cottage Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)/ Zip World

Cwt Glo is a cosy and peaceful cottage for two in Northern Snowdonia nestled between two mountain ranges the Carneddau and Glyderau. Cwt Glo is situated in a small village near Bethesda called Mynydd Llandygai. There is private off road parking next to the cottage. Cwt Glo is Welsh for Coal house and the cottage was the place where the coal was weighed and measured. The property has been both a farm and coal yard for the local area. Cwt Glo is a semi sustainable/off grid cottage it has a solar and wind system however there is the backup of mains electricity. There is also an LPG central heating and hot water system. The cottage has a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm in the evening after a busy day exploring the local area. We also provide the wood for your stay.

Stone built chalet, set in beautiful remote valley

The Chalet has stunning views, surrounded by wildlife, often lit up by starlight, a unique experience!! Close proximity to LLanberis /Snowdon; an ideal location for exploring, walking, climbing etc! The Chalet is a detached property overlooking a small patio area and paddock. Bedding, pillows, pots, pans, crockery etc are provided but please bring your own towels. Sorry no pets. Being a remote farm, access is along a narrow track. Call if you would like to park in the village and need a lift.

The beautiful village of Llanberis is a 2.5 mile drive away, where there are plenty of pubs and eatery’s. There is private off road parking a short distance away from the hut and outside seated area

The house can sleep up to 6 guests , with two double bedrooms and a single with bunkbeds . There are two spacious private gardens either side with views of Snowdon/ Wyddfa and neighbouring mountains. The patio garden has a large outdoor seating area . The house also has private parking for two vehicles and fast fibre optic broad band.

On the ground floor you' ll find a large open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with an eye catching inglenook and a multi fuel burner. The kitchen includes a washing machine, full size dishwasher, fridge freezer and an electric range cooker. 2 good size bedrooms and a family bathroom can be found on the first floor.
