The first thing visitors notice is “the view”. The Bunkhouse offers a unique perspective on secluded Pwlldu Bay. Atop limestone cliffs, The Bunkhouse is nestled in Wales’ first AONB. We offer secure storage for bicycles and the area is renown by keen cyclists. Swansea, Mumbles and the Gower beaches are a short drive away.

It is ideal for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers... The Old Kitchen is cosy and quirky, practical and unfussy: a single large space with sleeping area, small kitchen, dining and seating areas plus log burning stove. A shower room opens off the main space and there are French doors and a patio.

No 1 Cathelyd Colliery Stables is a dog friendly property renovated from a pit pony stables. Next door, No 2 is slightly larger and can be booked separately on Airbnb. There are walks on the doorstep being next to the Cwm Clydach bird reserve and the cottage has its own private valley walk with a waterfall. We are situated 3 miles from J45 of the M4 with easy access to Swansea, Gower and the Brecon Beacons. The Swansea Cycle path is on the doorstep. The town is a mile away.
