A peaceful stay for visiting and recovering from the busy nearby towns. We stayed for a fall weekend getaway and Zully's listing was perfect for us. My partner and I enjoyed the privacy and quiet nature of the property. It was a well needed contrast to the busy restaurants, beaches, and park we visited, which were only a 20-minute drive away. It was our dog's first Airbnb stay, and she loved it even more than us. The property has a very large yard with ample walking space. There are also well cared for chickens on the property, which our dog loved watching through the window.

The location was beautiful and the home was very cozy. Sitting on the screened porch, reading and enjoying the view of the yard and water was good for the soul. It was very quiet and we had all the amenities we needed.

Great place to stay if you are in the area! Clean, private, great hosts and would definitely recommend to others.

My guys and I had a great stay in New Kent. It was odd being in a place that was representative of 150 years of history kept mostly in its antique form. That is, except for the kitchen which was modern underneath a classic look. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. I had a couple concerns when we checked in, but Adam responded and resolved everything quickly. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet get away with a history niche.

Had a great time away and enjoyed our stay at Queen Bee's. Our grandchildren loved playing at the little beach area and roasting marshmallows around the firepit. We would definitely stay again.

I think the Northern Neck as a winter destination is severely under rated! Cozy cozy cozy! I love the knotty pine room that looks out over Prentice Creek and across as the the conserved Ditchley Ciderworks' woods. There's another bald eagle!

I’m going to recommend this place to everyone. What a history this place has!! Beautiful inside & out. Spacious grounds for a nice walk. Close to Thurmont & Cunningham state park.

If you are looking for a quiet place far away from all the noise of day to day life, this is a perfect little retreat <3

Stayed with my husband, 17 year old l, and 12 year old. The beds were perfect in the spare room and I always travel with an extension cord which helped with electronics and charging in the spare room( not needed there were outlets, but was helpful). Perfect place to unwind after long days of walking and visiting the zoo and DC area. Amy was available when I reached out for local recommendations and expressed that she had extra info in the master bedroom. This location met all my expectations for cooking, relaxing, and safety. Most Airbnb’s look comfortable but don’t accommodate our family for relaxation so I was looking specifically for a sectional to watch movies or tv together and this space provided this and much more; really was comforting and felt home like. We cuddled up, I made some tea, and the view was amazing. Thank you both! We will definitely return next time we visit DC.

A wonderful retreat on an unbelievable property. We were so surprised by the amazing views of the Chester River as well as the really well marked hiking trail. A bit out of downtown Chestertown, but totally worth the drive. Benjamin was a great communicator, and very flexible to meet our needs. ps. the cutest goats

I do not think words could describe how wonderful of a time we had, at Hobbs and Rose Cottage! Our hosts Lisa & Larry were so welcoming, generous and genuine. The grounds itself, were extremely well maintained, beautifully preserved and decorated. The chickens were very happy and well cared for, along with their family of ducks. The cottage itself was depicted as described in the pictures. It was extremely comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. With beautiful touches of creativity and thoughtfulness at every turn. Everything that we would and possibly need, was provided and then some. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome gestures that were provided for us along with our pup. Our pup has never been so happy, freely roaming around and comfortable in a new space. Which spoke volume’s! Our new home away from home, filled with peace, tranquility & nature. A perfect place to reset and recharge. Our first time staying at an Airbnb, and Hobbs and Rose Cottage, set the standard.

This place was perfect. I wish we had more time there, but I planned to many things for our short trip. The area was absolutely beautiful. We would love to return again.

We had a wonderful stay! Justin and Misty were fantastic hosts — friendly, responsive, and full of great local recommendations. The property itself was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend trip. It was perfectly located for easy drives to both Richmond and Williamsburg, while still offering a peaceful, quiet space to unwind at night away from the city bustle. One of the highlights for us was the shared fenced-in backyard, which was a huge perk. Our pup had an amazing time playing there and even made some new friends with Quinn, Storm, and Spirit! It’s a perfect spot for anyone traveling with pets. We would absolutely recommend this property and would love to stay again!

Went with my friend and we found the place very comfortable. The kitchen is very nicely stocked! We brought food so that we could prepare most meals and the kitchen had more than we could ever need by way of kitchen gear! There was also a full stash of coffee, cream, honey and sugar! The location is great. We went to the White's Ferry Brewery that was just down the street and thoroughly enjoyed it! I would strongly recommend a visit. We also walked around the neighborhood to include down to the Potomac! Very nice! We took a day trip to Harper's Ferry (45-min drive) and of course to the little downtown area of Leesburg (7-min drive)! Rita was super responsive and brough us batteries quickly when requested for the remote and a container of eggs from the chickens! The beds are comfortable. I did sleep on the sleeper sofa and while it isn't a typical bed, it was fairly comfortable. Having the animals just below us was really sweet! Loved them all! Enjoyed our visit very much!

This home has the highest recommendations because it is spotless, peaceful, restful. Lovely views and decor while also very family friendly. We spent several days exploring DC (45 min away) knowing that we could come home to make our own meals and rest well for the next day. Perfect for our family of 4 adults and 3 children.

Loved how charming this old house was and there was plenty of room for our family if 8. Leslye was kind and communicated very well. I absolutely loved all the antiques in the house. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful place in a very nice town. We had the best time trying different restaurants and relaxing around the cottage. Gita was super helpful and friendly, giving us plenty of recommendations. We will absolutely be back!

The cabin was a great mix of historical features and modern convenience. It was super cozy, especially with the twinkle lights on. The kitchen was very well-stocked with everything we needed. Great coffee machine! Our dog loved the huge fenced-in field. We had a great, relaxing weekend.

My wife and I needed a short getaway and Tia's place fit the bill. It is just as it looks in the photos - spotless and cozy. Tia is a great host and a nice person as well; she showed us her hens and chickens that are nearby and she is also a beekeeper. The house is comfortable and we felt right at home. It's only a short drive to many restaurants and antique shops; we will definitely be back when we need a little time away. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Paul and Erma's place. It had all that we needed for a weekend get away. It was close to our destination and was perfect for just relaxing when we got back. We would definitely stay here again.

No words! We absolutely loved this place! Totally private. It is above their detached two car garage and so perfect. Absolutely immaculate. I appreciated that she was fine with us checking in at 10:30pm and we left each morning at 7am. Perfect location to hit Richmond, Yorktown, Jamestown and Williamsburg in the one day/two nights that we had. The steep stairs to climb up above the garage were well worth the privacy. I am very hopeful that we can come back and stay again someday for 4-5 nights to do this area with more time. She was so friendly to message with. We loved watching them waking up their farm while we sipped our provided keurig cups.

The property is everything as described and more! We immediately felt at peace and appreciated the wonderful amenities (fully stocked kitchen, sauna, comfortable beds, window views). Duane was a ray of sunshine and incredible host. He stopped by to give us a history of the property and suggestions for enjoying nature. Our walks were relaxing and we enjoyed all the wildlife: birds playing in the morning, a groundhog running about, and busy squirrels. We would certainly stay again when in the area!
