The perfect getaway to luxuriate in the center of Louisville! Boasting 11-foot tall ceilings, 75" televisions, and a spacious downstairs floor plan that includes a pool table, living room (with velvet sofas), and an open-air basement rec room with spiral staircase and fur bean bags. We decorated our home to provide as much comfort & entertainment as possible: super-cushy king-size memory-foam beds, vast porch space (with grill), and eclectic art to feed your eyes & mind. El centro de la ciudad esta a muy corta distancia. La casa fue construida en 1879 y completamente remodelada, con su cocina moderna, patio completamente cercado y lugar para fogata. Recognized as a truly unique property, it has twice been featured in the Courier-Journal and was honored with a historical plaque by the Louisville Landmarks Commission in 2019. According to a 1976 newspaper article, a local legend recounts that the house floated up the river during the 1937 flood, and was later set on a foundation—earning it the enduring nickname, "the shanty boat." This rich history adds to the property's distinctive character and charm.
