The Red Train Carriage

The Red Train Carriage is a special place to stay next to the train tracks of The Swanage Railway. We believe it was built in about 1858 for GER as a 2nd class passenger carriage. It was just a shell when we got it, with it's original walls, doors, ceiling and floor, but the seating had been removed. There was only a few clues about its history in some of the doors and windows. We have saved as much of the original carriage as possible whilst making it a comfortable place to stay for a week.

Enter through the secret gate in the hedgerow, Scout's Meadow is nestled in its own private grounds, with wood fired hot tub, fire pit, pizza oven & veranda. The wagon has a cosy king bed, cooking facilities, fridge freezer and wood stove. Right next door is the bathroom with flushing toilet, sink and hot shower.

Gamekeepers Carriage is our beautifully converted railway carriage that has been developed to create self contained accommodation, our take on luxury glamping. Positioned elevated above Pateley Bridge on our family run farm you will find yourselves surrounded by fields moorland and stunning views. Sleeping two the bespoke and individual carriage whilst small and relatively compact is perfectly formed. The addition of a hot tub provides luxury for every occasion and we welcome well behaved dogs.

Come and visit our beautiful, restored wagon, high on a peaceful, off-grid hill. For walkers or cyclists, romantic breaks or retreats in nature; this is perfect for adventures or simply relaxing on the deck with a cup of tea heated by hydro power. We have built this Pullman style railway carriage and sighted it over looking the old Nidd Valley railway line that runs through the farm. He’s 24ft by 9ft and very luxurious. With shower, toilet, kitchen, heating... in fact everything you will need for a stay away. We have reclaimed many railway items including the four handles, luggage rack, lamps, signs and much more. He is authentic as he can be. Outside is covered area overlooking wonderful Dales view, fire pit, seating and table.

Nestled into our working farm, this lovingly restored railway carriage is the perfect spot for a romantic stay away. The views are out of this world and all viewable from the large glass doors so you can stay tucked up in bed or on the sofa in front of the fire, with great wifi, free access to our beautiful heated pool and sauna in the pool house, beautiful walks both from the carriage or a short drive to the coast path, pub lunches, sunsets, fairy lights and romantic outdoor bath.

Kimberlina Carriage Ravenscar

The Kimberlina is a cosy, custom built, carriage located in Ravenscar, a beautiful coastal village situated on the Jurassic Coast National Park. The carriage is nestled in a field to the back of a working farm, surrounded by fantastic views and natural beauty, it is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway or relaxing evening following a days walk along the Cleveland Way. Children are welcome at the carriage and additional sleeping is available on the day bed in the living area.

THE BOLTHOLE on Pagham Beach is a world away on the peaceful Pagham Harbour RSPB nature reserve. Based around a Victorian railway carriage, THE BOLTHOLE has been lovingly renovated to include all creature comforts and super fast wi-fi! The original railway carriages remain and you will sleep 'first class' under their bowed ceilings! In addition a modern kitchen provides all you need to prepare your catch of the day and a open plan lounge allows space to kick back and relax.
