Qué harás

Experience the past, taste the present, explore the future.

Join a two-hour adventure to explore Chinatown's culture through senses and stories. Join a cross-cultural conversation starting from London's multicultural hub Soho.

The activities are in three parts: Culture, History, and Design.

(1) Culture: We open our senses to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste Chinese culture.
(2) History: We travel back in time to hear stories of Chinese immigrants and make some group decisions.
(3) Design: We look at the cultures that have been integrated into this part of London’s Soho – past, and present.

During this experience, you will taste some delicious Chinese street food. The choice varies depending on the season. At the end of the experience, you get a food map of Chinatown.

The experience is designed for individuals, couples, families or groups. For families, kids can take on a special mission: 'Dragon Hunt in Chinatown'.

Born in Shanghai, I've lived in Hong Kong, Norway, the US (briefly) and now London. I create fun and engaging cultural experiences in London.

I'm grateful to the help from communities in Chinatown and Soho, people in the British Library, the Cambridge University and the Royal College of Arts.

Really enjoyed the experience and learning more about the history and culture of Chinatown through different lenses! Had bit of everything; art, food and history! I would really recommend this experience to anyone who visit Chinatown or London for the very first time. Even though it’s a rough time right now with everything happening, Minji didn’t let it effect the experience but rather adapt to it, which means a lot to me. Thank you for the wonderful time! It was great talking with you :)

This experience was fantastic and Minji was a knowledgeable, personable, and gracious host. We learned a lot about Chinatown's food, design, people, and history on this thoughtfully crafted and interactive tour. Highly recommend!

Minji was very kind & knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I thought this would be more of a food tour but we only received one food item worth 2.50 euro. It also ended 30 mins early.

Minji was a courteous and kind host who managed to involve my elderly mother throughout the experience. Due to the virus some locations were not able to accommodate groups but Minji explained and offered an alternative.

A wonderful experience. I highly recommend it! Minji goes out of her way to make all her guests feel welcome from the start and gets us to participate actively in the experience. I loved the way she includes personal stories of real people who have lived and worked there so we really get a deeper insight into Chinatown and the local community. We got to try lovely food and I learnt a lot about the history of the area.

Brillant! Brillant! Brillant! Minji is so good at elaborating on the Chinese culture with English. And she knows so many insightful stories about China Town. The best part is you get the chance to eat the most authentic Chinese food (I am here to ensure you it, because I am Chinese!), visit Chinese shops and so much more. Actually I am being inspired by Minji all the time, she has so much knowledge about China, I don't even know about it. The experience is amazing! I recommend it to everyone!
