I am the owner and chocolate maker of Raphio Chocolate, a company in Fresno California, that makes chocolate from scratch - from cocoa beans. My chocolate bars have won several prestigious national and international awards. They are pure and real chocolate made without food additives, fillers or preservatives. It is the chocolate that I feel comfortable feeding to my own children., hence the company name Raphio Chocolate, which is the combination of my sons' name, Raphael and Rio.

Donde estarás

We will visit every part of the chocolate factory all the way from the very back where we sort the beans and roast them. The "hot room" is where you will see where the magic happens, where the big stone grinders turn the cocoa beans into chocolate. The "cold room" is next where you will see the chocolate is tempered and molded into chocolate bars. Lastly, we will go back to the shop to taste all the single origin and flavored chocolate.

While talking tomany people in Fresno about things to do, not one of them was even aware of this hidden gem. The tour was absolutely amazing and very personal and felt genuine. The work they put really shows in the quality of their chocolate. Everyone got to sample all the varieties they offer and that surprised me because i expected at least one taste but not a whole variety AND a hot beverage. I am definitely sharing with everyone I know. I bought a lot to take home back to Alaska and share with everyone here. I'll be buying more from them in the future as they also offer online services. I highly recommend this shop.

Our group had a fantastic time at the chocolate factory. Elisia really knows her craft and you get a huge family feel from the entire experience. The chocolate is superb and the entire experience is better than all the other chocolate factories and tastings I’ve been to thus far (including San Francisco and abroad). They were very welcoming, engaging, highly personable and fantastic. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy amazing company and amazing chocolate

Wow - what a truly amazing experience! We were a party of 6, ranging from an 8 year old to a 76 year old, who had such a great time on this special tour! We learned so much about the chocolate making process, from holding real cacao pods, to grinding up cacao beans, to exploring the different methods of melting chocolate to our favorite part - the tasting of a variety of Raphio's chocolates! The tour was personalized with lots of care given to connecting to the group - we felt like good friends during our tour! The family who run the chocolate factory are the sweetest, most generous people - and they really know their chocolates! Tips on how to taste chocolate, real behind the scenes stories, and a delicious treat at the end of the tour, this experience is highly recommended! If you like chocolate (and who doesn't!), do yourself a favor and book this tour! Unforgettable experience!

The chocolate is delicious and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The young man who led the tour was engaging and he did a great job breaking down the whole chocolate making process. Great experience!
