Just under 10 minutes from Fairlie, 40 min from Lake Tekapo and only 1.5 hr from MT Cook, is our super cute historic Farmers cottage. Watch and pet our friendly animals from the cottage and experience some of the best star gazing in New Zealand from our beautiful hot tub. During your stay we offer a free animal tour of 1 hour, whereby you will visit some of our friendly animals incl bottle feeding our pet lambs (Aug-Dec), an Alpaca walk 🦙, and our friendly horses, cats, dogs and chickens 🥰

John Observatory. Back to Lucky Star Cottage - fall asleep beneath the stars: Stargaze from the comfort of your own bed, through the master bedroom roof windows . Fill up on a free breakfast (including our very own free range eggs) before you leave. Have a WONDER-FULL stay!

Stargazer’s Luxury Retreat

For those who fancy a luxury escape; Stargaze the Milky Way from your own luxury outdoor bath, then come inside to a toasty warm fire. Enjoy the comfort of a king size bed with luxury linen, looking directly through to the lake and mountains beyond. In the bathroom, relax in our freestanding bath or enjoy a rain shower for two. Take in unobstructed views of the lake and mountains from your lounge room by day, and cosy up on the couch or wool beanbag for a movie at night. This is paradise.

Peaceful tiny house with sweeping mountain views

This laid-back rustic, beautiful and comfortable tiny house, just 1 km from the centre of Fairlie, is surrounded by farms and boasts stunning views of the Two Thumb Range (Mt Dobson). The house will feel like home the moment you arrive! Try the famous Fairlie pies while visiting. Mt Dobson skifields are very close. Lake Tekapo - with its hot springs and other tourist attractions - is just a half hour drive away. Escape your stresses and soak in the farm and mountain views from the deck.

Relax in the best of rural Mackenzie country with the whole family at our peaceful holiday home. We are less than 5min from Lake Opuha, and you could be at 3 ski fields within an hour!!! Approx 40 minutes from Tekapo , 1 hour from Timaru and 30 minutes from Geraldine, and approx 2 1/2 hours to Christchurch. Situated on the sunny corner of a working dairy farm you’ll enjoy mountain views and peaceful starry nights. Plenty of room for the family with a large lawn and fully fenced section.

Bedeshurst bnb- countryside stop 10km from Fairlie

Bedeshurst bnb is a cosy, private studio unit which is situated on our farm in South Canterbury. We are in the countryside, an 8-10 minute drive from the small town of Fairlie on a gravel/shingle no-exit road. We do not live in Fairlie township, so if you want to be right beside the supermarket - don’t book here. We live in a beautiful, quiet part of the country and the unit has amazing views across our farm and to the mountains beyond. Our farm has great walking and biking tracks.

Brand new 3 bedroom warm sunny home with large living area, Gas Fire, 2 outside patios and BBQ. Free wifi included. The house is located off the main highway and is a 5 minute walk to the township (supermarket, cafes, shops and a playground), only 30 minutes drive to Lake Tekapo, 10 minutes from Mt Dobson and only 10 Minutes to Lake Opuha.

Studio cottage well appointed with its very own private hot tub, stainless steel appliances, King bed, Flat screen tv and great mountain views. Please note hot tub available only by Prior arrangement (day before) and an additional charge of $50 for the first night and $35 for each additional night.
