Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. Hadrian's Wall, Hexham market town, country walks, cycle routes and village pubs all a stones throw from the doorstep. The Michelin Star restaurant,Pines is 10 mins away. The Boe Rigg restaurant and bar is a 10-minute stroll away and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants can be found in the traditional market town of Bellingham just two miles away.

Just a mile away from Kielder Reservoir we're a brilliant base for a stay in beautiful Northumberland. Amenities include a wood burning stove, kitchen (fridge, freezer, hob oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, Tassimo coffee machine), wide-screen TV, comfy sofa and armchairs, dining area, double bed, velux window in the bedroom for stargazing & en-suite bathroom with shower.
