This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Fernando was a great host, he was very communicative and helpful. The house was exactly like we saw in the pictures. Thank you Fernando for the relaxed atmosphere.

La casa es muy bonita, acogedora y limpia. Cecilia nos recibió muy bien y con pan casero por la mañana. Todo fue perfecto, gracias! 🙂

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. probably one of the best airbnb i have ever visited. For a low price you can have a very private bungalow with pool. The host is extremly nice, very helpful and also flexible with check in and check out.

We hebben heerlijke dagen gehad. Interieur van de ruimtes zijn een beetje gedateerd, maar alles is schoon. Zwembad en uitzicht echt prachtig. Het zwembad wordt gedeeld met Farmhouse 2, maar is prima te doen. In het huis ook meer dan voldoende ruimte, grote woonkeuken. Communicatie met Hugo ging snel en makkelijk.

Estadia excecional. O espaço é lindíssimo e muito bem cuidado.. O anfitrião muito acessível e agradável.

We loved staying at Americo’s house. It was in a stunning location with beautiful views as far as the eye can see of the Douro valley. The house sits in well loved landscaped gardens, with a lovely pool and outside sitting/eating area. There is a bonus area with fruit trees. The house is well furnished, cosy and comfortable. It was plenty of room for two small families. Our hosts were so kind and communicated well throughout the process. We did have problems locating the house, even following the instructions (Apple Maps sent us to the wrong location). But the hosts were patient. It’s a bit of a drive to go to larger sight seeing attractions and very windy for non-confident drivers. But for us it was perfect - we had all we needed in a 20 minute radius and drove to Porto for one day (it’s a 50 minute drive). The house and location is stunning and the hosts welcoming - I would definitely return and recommend to others!

Maison très agréable, la gardienne Olivia a été très accueillante et nous a rendu service. Le domaine est très grand, beaucoup de mieux paisibles (coin ombragé, grande piscine..) il y a un chien tres gentil qui restait avec nous lors de notre séjour. Seul petit bémol, l’arrosage automatique qui se de l’anche il peu trop souvent, ce qui n’est pas forcément nécessaire parfois. Je recommande cette location pour des vacances entre amis au Portugal ! ☺️

Foram 3 dias bem passados e com uns anfitriões como o Sr.Carlos e a D.Alice tudo fica melhor. Adoramos todos os momentos que aí foram vividos e recomendamos a todos este alojamento local a 100%. Esperamos regressar em breve

Super séjour !! L'environnement est exceptionnel et très calme. La piscine est très grande génial pour les enfants. La maison est typique du Portugal comme sur les photos. Nous reviendrons merci 🙂

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold i boligen der ligger højt oppe med en super skøn udsigt. Poolen var opvarmet til 28-29C og var perfekt balanceret med klor. Det er et meget roligt og privat sted hvor vi som familie kunne slappe af i en uge. (lukket have og egen port). Vi blev budt velkommen af Daniel og Alicia og havde løbende kontakt med Daniel igennem ugen - altid nemt at få hjælp til noget og de reagerede hurtigt ved henvendelser.. Der opstod ingen problemer overhovedet i løbet af ugen og alt fungerede perfekt. Kommer vi til Portugal igen en dag, vil dette klart være et perfekt valg igen! Tak Daniel, Alicia og Marie for en fantastisk uge i jeres dejlige hus.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Lurdes. L’accueil a été très chaleureux et Lurdes a été très attentionnée. Notre vol a eu 2h30 de retard, Lurdes nous a attendu avec le goûter. La maison est impeccable et bien équipée. Son emplacement permet de rejoindre Porto en 25 min en voiture. Je garde l’adresse et recommande vivement.

2.ª vez que frequentamos a casa e fomos novamente surpreendidos positivamente. Adoramos os dias que passamos lá, o espaço da piscina é espetacular, 5* para vários dias com os amigos. Apenas aconselho e colocarem uma arca frigorífica na casa, pois em dias de demasiado calor torna-se complicado ter as bebidas frescas, uma vez que o frigorifico é muito pequeno para o número de pessoas, fora isso tudo excelente. Agradecemos também a simpatia do Pedro.

Nuestra estancia en la casa de Luís ha sido inmejorable. El alojamiento está muy limpio y decorado con muy buen gusto. No le falta ningún detalle y es todo tal y cómo se muestra en las fotos. Hemos disfrutado un montón de la piscina y del buen tiempo. Luís es un anfitrión 10, muy atento, dispuesto y amable. Sin duda, volveremos y no dudaremos en recomendarla! Correspondeu integralmente às minhas expectativas e o espaço é exatamente como consta das fotos. A casa tem as comodidades e eletrodomésticos necessários e essenciais. A zona é calma e tranquila e fica perto do centro da cidade. A estadia foi muito agradável.

Ótimo para uma estadia calma para uma família grande. Bom espaço exterior junto à piscina e área global dos jardins. A casa está muito equipada em aparelhos e louças. O anfitrião foi sempre impecável e muito disponível com todos os pedidos.

Un endroit idéal pour un séjour agréable dans le nord du Portugal. Parfaitement situé à proximité de villes telles que Guimarães, Amarante, Penafiel, Porto et Aveiro, nous avons pu profiter pleinement de la région sans passer trop de temps sur la route. Avec la chaleur estivale, les plages fluviales à proximité et la piscine de Marco de Canaveses ont été des havres de fraîcheur. Ce que nous avons particulièrement apprécié, c'est la communication fluide avec Rakel, ainsi que l'accueil chaleureux et la gentillesse de ses parents. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse, où l'hospitalité et la vue magnifique ne manqueront pas de vous séduire.

A nossa estadia foi simplesmente fantástica! O alojamento estava impecável, muito confortável e com todos os pormenores pensados ao detalhe. O anfitrião foi incansável — muito atencioso desde o primeiro momento, não descansou enquanto não chegámos (e chegámos mesmo muito tarde), bem como durante o dia seguinte teve a gentileza de nos contactar para saber se estava tudo a correr bem. Sentimo-nos verdadeiramente bem recebidos. Sem dúvida um local onde queremos voltar e que recomendamos vivamente. Muito obrigada por tudo! ☺️
