The studio is located in lower Puna, Leilani Estates and an easy 12 minute stroll for a view of Ahuʻailāʻau, the official title for Fissure 8, which appeared in the Puna District of Hawai'i Island during the 2018 Kīlauea eruption. 10 minute drive to historic Pāhoa town , 25 minute drive to the scenic Red Road and 35 minutes to Hilo. Studio is attached to the main part of the home with a parking space, private entryway and lanai. Kitchenette has all you need to prepare a meal. Grill on request.

If you aren't comfortable around large dogs and a blind pig this is not the place for you. Animal noises, incl. coqui frogs, are part of this rural space. (REF TAX ID TA005-218-0480-01) Enjoy time in a small (384 sq ft) self-contained guest shack with full kitchen in a rural setting. If you don't find the sound of coqui frogs at night obtrusive to your sleep, then this space would be suitable. While you will have privacy, my dad stays in the main house in case you need assistance in person. We are located at about 100 foot of elevation which provides for relatively cooler nights.
