Laxman was incredibly welcoming and helpful. As soon as we were near he came down the hill to pick up our bags. The room is gorgeous and the location peaceful and away from crowds. A very local experience. Laxman couldn’t do enough for us and his family are delightful. Highly recommended.

The place is simply awesome. It is located right on top of the hill overlooking the Bhimtal lake. Be prepared for an uphill steep drive to the Magpie Retreat ! It is just a KM, though! Surrounded by lush green forest and with many birds chirping around (Magbie, Treepie, Blue Jay, Paradise Flycatcher, Thrush, Spotted Dove, Plum Headed Parakeet, Grey Headed Canary Flycatcher, etc.) The place is aptly named Magpie Retreat. Certainly carry a good zoom lens and a binocular. One can take strolls around the place. Very serene, calm, peaceful. Ideal location for unwinding. Hosts are very thoughtful. Have taken care of little but important things - Books, Monopoly, Scrabble, Cards, Umbrella, et al. Wonderful caretaker (Mohit). Delicious home made food. In summary, it is worth the vacation and value for money !

Superbe et chaleureuse maison conçue par un architecte de renom. Un véritable musée! Très confortable et ultra propre. Très agréable séjour avec Laxman et sa femme qui sont très attentionnés et toujours disponibles. Petit déjeuner copieux et excellent!! Un petit luxe au Népal dans un superbe endroit à ne pas manquer!

Samjhanas home is great for a stay in Gorkha. The family are friendly and approachable. We arrived early by bus and were welcomed with a coffee. The home is in a good location for walking to the square and museum. Also, upto the palace, temple and viewpoints. The room is quiet and comfortable. Bathroom has a nice hot shower. We were able to make hot drinks and have breakfast in the rooftop kitchen. We would recommend staying here to visit Gorkha.

Great peaceful location....just a walking distance from Thamel. The place is clean and well managed. The host is super helpful and friendly.

I cannot say enough good things about my stay here. The room was spacious and clean, the neighborhood charming, and the breakfasts were delicious. The hospitality we received was outstanding - Santa and his family are amazing hosts. I highly recommend staying at this guest house!

property is very clean and well maintained and someone looking for peace will love the place..only thing is ,it is situated inside a village so u may have food problems here as u can't order for immediate delivery..

The stay was amazing, House was neat and clean The care taker - Mishra Ji was very kind. Host ( anusha ) was also very responsive and communicative.

It was very nice place to stay in front of canal. It is very quite & peaceful place. The house is very clean and staff is very good.

It was a lovely serene place to stay. Its best for having a peaceful time. the view from there was amazing. And the meals , maggi,tea they provided was really good. Just that this airbnb is a-bit secluded,Its far from Almora so I would suggest to go to the place jn day light. Driving in night is quite risky. Also there is nocafe,restaurant nearby so it will be better to go with group of people there to spend good time .

It had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, from cozy bedding to a fully stocked kitchen. The location was perfect too, close to [mention any local attractions or areas if relevant]. As for the host, they were absolutely fantastic. Very communicative, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. They gave great recommendations for things to do in the area and were always available for any questions or assistance. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a wonderful host. I’ll definitely be back!

Staying with Kiran’s family - Rakesh and Anita was the perfect home during my placement at Dhulikhel hospital. They made me feel like part of their family. Anita would cook breakfast for me before my hospital shift and I had the option to join their family for delicious dinners each night. They went out of their way to make sure I was having a great time in Nepal taking me on hikes and even attending a wedding with them. Their home made my stay very memorable. I would definitely stay again!!

The price is affordable, the location is great, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Thank you for the wonderful three nights I had here!

We had a beautiful stay at Sneha’s place. She even helped us book a cab and gave us local recommendations. The Airbnb had a Ganga river view and the interiors matched the description except that the Airbnb did not have a kitchen. Nevertheless the host took care of all our meals. The place felt safe and homely. There were few restaurants in the vicinity. Triveni Ghat was about 30 minutes walking from the Airbnb. Everyone right from the porter, the server, the driver to the host and the owner were all very supportive. I will definitely visit again.
