Canaan Country Cottage

This is a private, rustic and cozy vacation camp that has been partially modernized with an addition containing two bedrooms. The original part of the building still has that Adirondack camp feel; woodsy and camp-like, but very private. Secluded and also close to Hammond Hill State Forest with many miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking and xc-skiing. The cottage sleeps 4 to 6. We recently upgraded the internet with a fiber connection, and added a propane grill on the back deck.

Nestled in a grove of Norway spruce, your peaceful cabin getaway rests in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Built by a local carpenter (with help from his dog Indiana), the cabin has enough coziness and charm to make any stay special. Hike down to Mill Creek (on the property), grill up some burgers on the gas grill, or lounge in a hot tub beneath the stars. The cabin is 15 minutes to Ithaca / Cornell, has a living room with a Switch + BluRay + HBO, and has satellite wifi (30+ MBPS).

This is a special little place in a very big space! Converted hunting camp that offers the feel of being remote yet maintains most modern amenities. Guests can explore the surrounding State Forest via the many hiking trails, grill a meal at the fire ring patio and sip a local wine as the sun sets. Less than 20 minutes drive to Cornell University, Ithaca Commons, Cayuga Lake, and Greek Peak, this property offers ready access a variety of attractions for the whole family.

Our guest house is located on a dead-end road five minutes from the town of Newark Valley and only 30 minutes from Binghamton, Cortland, and Ithaca Included is a kitchen with open common area, two bedrooms, full bath and washer/dryer within living area. A farm setting is viewable from the common area and attached deck. There is a 2 acre pond and miles of scenic trails spread over 250+ acres, with sights as far as Pennsylvania!

Beautiful, spacious, two-bedroom private suite. The Farmhouse is located on 50 acres of farmland in our beautiful river valley. We are directly off the Cortland I-81 exit and are 30 minutes to Cornell, Ithaca and Syracuse. We are conveniently located near Greek Peak and other local ski areas. To relax during your stay, you can pour yourself a hot bath, unwind in the living-room or enjoy the outdoor deck with view on the 1 acre property. Other tenants include our poodle (Angélique) and Trouble, our outdoor cat. If you feel butch, you can start a fire and relax around our bonfire area or strip in your swimsuit and hop in our hot tub.
