Casa Carmona, a Mid-City Garden Oasis near Museums

Casa Carmona is a little oasis in the big city. It's convenient to just about anywhere you would want to visit while in Los Angeles. Private entrance allows you to come and go as you please. Very diverse selection of restaurants and there is a 7-11 as well as a small grocery store (that delivers) less than a block away if you would rather eat in. Laundromat and dry cleaners are one block away which is helpful for longer stays. Street parking is available. Convenient to public transportation. Full access to the guest house and the backyard area including lounge chairs and dining table. I live in the adjacent house so am able to offer help during guest's stay. I love meeting my guests from all over the world but respect your privacy and comfort! Casa Carmona sits behind a charming Spanish house in Wilshire Vista, a neighborhood created in the 1920s. This is a diverse and safe area, within walking distance of Museum Row and the Grove. Plenty of free parking is available. Approximately half my guests rent a car and there is unrestricted street parking available except for street cleaning on Tuesday afternoons. The other half of my guests rely on Uber and Lyft which are always available within minutes. There is plentiful public transportation within walking distance. One bus stop is less than a block away on one major street and another the opposite direction a block and a half from the house. There is also a Zip Car location less than a block away. The main bed is full size. The pullout sofa is twin bed. There is a small fridge/freezer, microwave oven, 2 burner electric cooktop, and George Forman grill for cooking. Also have a Keurig for coffee and electric tea kettle and assortment of teas. There is a end table that is gate-leg so can be used for in-room dining. Folding chairs in closet as well as extra folding table in closet. Hair dryer in bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Two luggage racks. Iron is provided. I also provide a beach blanket, tote and towels for excursions to the beach. For relaxation time at the Casa there are plentiful entertainment options including Amazon Echo, TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, many movies, PlayStation and several board games with even more available upon request!

Take it easy on the porch in a Hollywood hideaway

Our guests like to call The Porch House a 'tree house'. We think it's because the 40 foot long porch walks into the canopy of a massive rubber tree that stands alongside it. Or maybe because with the french doors open in the bedroom you feel like you're sleeping in a king size nest. But our 'nest' has creature comforts as well... private bedroom, shower, full size fridge/freezer, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee maker, tea pot, wifi, and Netflix. The main room has vaulted ceilings, a skylight and 2 ceiling fans to keep you cool. Simple but cozy decor make it a great place to relax. 3 sets of french doors along the porch side open up to make the place feel twice as big... Sunset is the perfect time to open up all the the doors, listen to the birds and let the light and breeze go throughout the house. You don't feel like you are in the center of Hollywood. You get the entire back house to yourself with private entrance and private porch. We are always ready to answer any questions and help with traveling suggestions but also respect your privacy so if you don't contact us we will not be bothering you. This property is located in central Hollywood—a few minutes away from Griffith Park, the Hollywood sign, and Universal Studios but nestled in a neighborhood that's walking distance to different restaurants and markets. 10 minute walk to the metro that connects to LAX, Chinese theatre, Santa Monica beach. Many bus stops on every corner. We love our neighborhood even though we are located in a central Hollywood it doesn't feel touristic or fake. We have many different ethnicities in our neighborhood which makes it so unique with different delicious authentic cousins and cultures.

Tranquil Suite in the Heart of Los Feliz Near Griffith Park

Pour a cup of Espresso and enjoy it out on the peaceful private patio, accompanied by the gentle scent of lemons wafting from the tree. The walls of this restorative and light-filled home are adorned with pottery and pieces from local artists. The suite is situated at the end of our gated and electric driveway behind the main house. While we want you to enjoy your stay and feel completely at home, we do ask that you keep it down when walking to and from the unit and when on the private patio (as a courtesy to our neighbors). We will give you a unique code for both the driveway gate as well as the guesthouse itself. The code is reset with every guest. We are available for questions and help before and during your stay. Stroll less than a mile to come to Griffith Park, with dozens of restaurants and coffee shops, plus several movie theaters, also within walking distance in Los Feliz village. Catch big-name artists in the Greek Theatre a mile and a half away. We are walking distance to most things including the Red Line Subway Station at Vermont and Sunset. The kitchen is stocked with a Nespresso Machine (we will provide 2 pods per day for the length of your stay), tea kettle + assorted teas, olive oil, salt, pepper, dish soap, fresh kitchen sponge, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and hand soaps. Hollywood, Koreatown, and Silverlake are minutes away by car. Our yard is an oasis where you can lounge, unwind, and take a dip in the hot tub just outside your door. The suite is deep-cleaned: interior surfaces, remotes, handles, linens cleaned at high temps - we all need a bit of peace of mind these days :) To increase value, I lowered the price to allow for LA’s Hotel Tax; it ain't much, but hey, every bit helps :)

This historic home dates back to the early 1900s and sits within a larger compound that consists of a main house that is occupied by your Hosts.
