The Spruce Nest

Stay in a historic home in Old Town Steamboat Springs built 1907. We have added an entry, dining room, master bedroom and bath and powder bath. However, we have kept the original two-story home in tact, similar to the early 1900's. We even used original wood from the walls to accent the exterior. The Coon Creek Camping Cabin is a remote and rustic cabin in the Medicine Bow mountain range. This cabin is for the adventurous camper who wants to get off the beaten path. It has aerial views as well as trail head access and close to the Sand Dunes. Free Trailhead parking with a short 3 minute hike to your cabin (recommend packing light). Enjoy the quiet beauty of nature in this truly Wild place. Hike into the Non motorized areas of the State Forest or bring your ATVs for some fun in the Sand.

West Side Duplex is in Steamboat Spring’s Riverside neighborhood, six miles from Steamboat Ski Resort and on the SST Free Bus System. It is also close to the Yampa River, Emerald Mountain, and Downtown Steamboat Springs. Yampa River Core Trail is 1/4 mile away. Steamboat Springs is “Ski Town USA”and is also proud to offer world-class fly fishing, extensive mountain bike trails and gravel bike roads, amazing Rocky Mountain hiking areas, and kayaking and tubing in the middle of town.

Adjacent to Routt National Forest and the Zirkel Wilderness. Nestled in the aspen and pines with private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski and snowshoe. 4wd or AWD preferred travel in winter. The Marmots, will often make an appearance. Wildlife abounds, moose, deer, elk pronghorn, bear, wolf and fox as well as many species of bird call this special place home. The spacious deck overlooks the forest and the mountains as well as the warm water ponds.
