The house was perfect for us. Very clean and organized. Great host always responded in a timely manner. Was only about a 30 to 40 minute drive to Acadia National Park & Bar harbor, depending on traffic it could take longer. If we ever make it back to Maine I would definitely stay at the Higgins Retreat again. Thanks again Richard & Tina.

A beautiful, historical home. Walkable location- easy to get to restaurants and shopping. The home has plenty of room for a large group of people! The home is well decorated, well thought out- including labels everywhere so you can find what you need. The rooms and beds were cozy. My kids enjoyed a game of hide and seek in this massive place! The kitchen was a dream to cook in! Cale was an amazing host- super responsive, so helpful and kind! Would definitely stay again!

The property was perfect for our Team who was in town for a tournament. Host was responsive and very helpful. Would recommend for any group of any kind.

Three girlfriends and I stayed at Hillside for a week. The setting and location were absolutely beautiful. It was so quiet and peaceful and I loved walking the trail. The house was roomy and comfortable. We highly recommend!!

If you’re looking to stay in Bar Harbor, this is the place! We felt very at home during our 1 week stay and walking to and from downtown Bar Harbor was easy and accessible. The house is also a 8 minute walk to the nearest grocery store so cooking your own home made meal was simple. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family and would stay here again!

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

We had a wonderful stay. Great location just outside Bar Harbor. It was nice to relax in this beautiful peaceful home after fun filled days in Acadia and Bar Harbor. Melinda had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. C-Ray’s was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again!

We experienced Nicole’s summer home this year for our annual friends group vacation and we will absolutely be back. The home is expansive and has plenty of room to socialize as well as have time to one’s self. The heated pool is a delight and the grounds are well taken care of. There are wonderful views from almost every window in the home and a great east coast vacation town with plenty of things to do is only a few minutes away by car. Highly recommend Nicole and her hospitality

Location is about a 30 minute easy drive from Acadia NP, which is really perfect for avoiding the maddening crowds. Lots of thoughtful extras provided. We would love to stay here again.

A fantastic stay- the cabin was better than I could have imagined. Wonderful spot for a family or just friends trying to getaway. Very close to the park and so much to do. Beautiful surroundings and fun eateries near by. The cabin itself was well equipped for us to make a number of meals in so we didn’t have to eat out every time. Heaters in every room made for a very comfortable experience. The response time from our hosts was quick and efficient, making us feel welcomed. Puzzles and board games gave us an awesome excuse for a tv detox and spend quality time with our people. We hope to visit this area again in the fall as the leaves changing was such a magical memory. I might have thought it was a little pricy for this cabin but once I saw the convenience of being just a couple miles from the park entrance and how cute this home was, every penny is justified! Highly recommend this home to anyone!

I really enjoyed staying at this house! It was a perfect location central location if you’re traveling to Acadia or Bangor. The house was clean and cozy. It has a rustic and charming feel.

We loved our stay here! Jana was very accommodating for 2 infants, helping us get extra supplies to make travel to the location easier. This location is perfect. Everything is walkable and you don’t have to worry about parking. Highly recommend. Easily the best air bnb we have stayed at.

Jennifer's place was great! 10 of my friends wanted to do a fall trip to Acadia and it was a perfect location. It was a quick drive to gorgeous hikes and Bar Harbor. In the house, we cooked beautiful meals and sat by the fire. If I ever go to Acadia again, I'd happily stay here.

The house and views are excellent, you can sit on the back deck or outside area and just gaze out at the view, see Bald Eagles fly over every day, even saw one grab a fish from the water. Very clean and well appointed with the essentials like detergents for laundry and dishwasher, garbage bags, slat, pepper and other cooking basics, foil and cling wrap, beach chairs. Overall I can say it is a very nice house, very clean. The location is 20 - 25 minutes from Bar Harbor and maybe 20 min to Acadia. We didn't mind this at all. We ate lobster at 5 different places, if you want the absolute best Lobster rolls go to the Travilin Lobster, there is one in Trenton and one in Bar Harbor, by far the best lobster roll. Oh, and probably as important as the house being very clean, the beds were very comfortable.

lovely family home. Had every thing you would need. rules are explicit. it may be helpful to know that the one bathroom is on the second floor.Although family is not in the area, they were responsive in a short period of time. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful place to stay! Denise welcomed us, and took us on a tour of the house. Her house is equipped with everything you need, it was awesome. the home was clean and very comfortable. The nature cant be beat! The sky at night is of course incredible, as is the beach right across the road. Beautiful stones, a rockhound would have a ball. I cannot wait to go back!

I wrote this while on GCI! Enjoy! The Winds changed without a word. The Wind changed and so did the temperature down seven degrees. It had been so quiet. It had taken a little time to get used to the silence once we arrived on the island. Eventually the silence was replaced by a constant easterly wind as the September temperature reminded me that summer here was wanning. Fall begins today, right on que and even though I felt in isolation I did not feel alone, as the winds, for sure, were making sounds like peoples chatter and for a moment I had to turn my head and listen to make sense of the mystery and the wonder I've experienced through mother nature. Diwas's place was great. Easy to check in and check out process was seamless. The house was spotless and accommodated everything that we needed. We were only really there to sleep as we spent most of our days at Bar Harbor or in the National Park. The recommendations that he provided were spot on! We were able to check out quite a few of his recommendations while we stayed! We were 100% stay there again!

Beautiful home with all the comforts of home. The kitchen was well equipped to cook several homemade meals. We played games, enjoyed the cable channels, and the internet was great! The washer and dryer was full size which was a plus while traveling. There was plenty of towels, blankets, and linens if needed. The home was very clean and homey. Thank you for a wonderful place to call home this week.

The location was absolutely amazing, walking out to the beach for low tide was a great experience. Parking accommodated our 30’ rv and an suv. Fire pit was relaxing too!

This Airbnb is BEAUTIFUL inside and out. We were a group of 3 couples and this was perfect for our weekend vacation. The view from the hot tub was incredible and the kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner. Beds were comfortable and the living room was spacious enough for 6! Thank you for the great experience!
