Lovely place if you are looking for some peace and quiet. It’s also a good location to see the Northern Lights - they were right above us!

We had an unforgettable stay at this Airbnb property in Vogar. The house was impeccably clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a full kitchen, comfortable living areas fireplace, washer/dryer, and lovely deck overlooking the water. The location was stunning—remote yet offering breathtaking views of the sunset, black sand beach, mountains and we even saw the northern lights on three of the four nights we stayed. Ólafur the host was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. After long days of exploring Iceland’s natural beauty, relaxing in the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind. This was truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we look forward to returning and recommending this property to friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and comfortable Icelandic getaway that is centrally located. 15 minutes from the airport and Blue Lagoon, 35 minutes to Reykjavík, and easily accessible to the highway for road trips. Perfecte eerste verblijf van onze vakantie. Dichtbij het vliegveld, mooie locatie. Communicatie met Solveig was goed en duidelijk. Routebeschrijving is erg duidelijk. Huisje was schoon en ruim. Zeker een aanrader om te verblijven.

We had a great stay at this location. It is about 30 min from Reykjavik which was not a problem for us at all. It is located in a super quiet area literally right next to a lake. We are a family of 4, so we used all three bedrooms which as great for us. It is not a large cabin, but we spent so little time at the cabin that it did not bother us at all. We used the Hot tub in the back yard every day and enjoyed the view over the lake and mountains. It is close to a number of hiking trails and waterfalls, and it was exactly what we had hoped for. The host is AMAZING, by far the most responsive host we have ever had, and offered super good information for trips, shopping etc. We ended our trip by watching the Northern Lights right from our back yard patio. I would recommend this to anyone looking for nature, hikes and amazing views.

Det var veldig rent og pent når vi kom. Sigurdur var hjelpsom hele veien. Rene senger og rene håndklær ferdige. Man kunne enkelt fylle badestampen og sitte der om kvelden. Vi bodde der en uke med tre barn. Leide bil ved flyplassen. 5 minutt til nærmeste bakeri for å kjøpe ferskt brød til frukost og 8 min til bra matbutikk. 10 min å kjøre til sentrum hvor det var enkelt å parkere. Vi var på utflukt til Golden circle, red på islandshester med Eldhestar, beach ride- fantastisk! Tur med båt og såg på Lundefugler. En kveld på Sky lagoon. Da får man med seg solnedgangen. Kjøkkenet var enkelt å bruke, lagde middag hjemme, enkelt med barna. Vi hadde en veldig fin ferieuke, kan sterkt anbefales!

The house was immaculate and the beds were super comfy. We loved the hot tub and cold plunge. It was an easy walk to the grocery store and the kitchen had everything needed. Thanks Sigurdur!

Dom Mattiego to świetna baza wypadowa do zwiedzania Reykjanesu (od geotermalnych okolic Gunnuhver, przez park krajobrazowy z jeziorem Kleifarvatn, Reykjavik, aż po gejzery czy wodospad Gullfoss). Blisko z lotniska (20 minut autem). Sam dom w spokojnej okolicy, bardzo duża przestrzeń, w tym 4 sypialnie, duża kuchnia i łazienka czyniły to, że jako 4-osobowa rodzina czuliśmy się bardzo komfortowo. Łatwy dostęp do kluczy mimo późnego przyjazdu, możliwość zostania nieco dłużej w dniu wyjazdu oraz szybkie odpowiedzi gospodarza - to także czynniki decydujące o naszej bardzo wysokiej ocenie. Jeśli miałbym polecić bazę noclegową w tej części Islandii, to Vogar i dom Mattiego polecam z czystym sumieniem. A przy okazji - powroty o ciemku (zima 2025) do domu Mattiego z naszych codziennych wypraw i zorze polarne widziane nie tylko w ciemnych miejscach w okolicach miasta Vogar, ale także spod domu - niezapomniane chwile dla nas wszystkich!

If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable stay in Reykjavik, this is the place for you. Great amenities including a large back yard, large living space with a Smart TV and playstation, and a fireplace. Kitchen with everything needed to cook for yourself and avoid the pricey Reykjavik Restaurant scene. Located on a quiet street with easy access to the highway (rental car recommended for sure).

L'alloggio di Nina è molto bello. Gli spazi sono ampi e luminosi con una bellissima vista sulla città e il mare. Il centro città si raggiunge a piedi facilmente e vicino ci sono vari supermercati. L'arredamento ha gusto e personalità e ci si sente come a casa. Letti comodi, bagno pulito e funzionale. La cucina è abbastanza completa, anche se manca qualche posata e piatti aggiuntivi. Ci sono vari elettrodomestici e caffettiere per preparare vari tipi di caffè. Il divano del soggiorno è comodo e rilassante. Spazi perfetti per quattro persone. Nina è sempre stata reattiva e disponibile. Grazie!

Asta was so helpful with local recommendations, and her house was clean welcoming. We had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The sauna and hot tub were great for relaxing. The location was perfectly central for exploring the Reykjavik peninsula.

Casa molto calda,comoda hai supermercati e zona molto tranquilla. La posizione e è ottima per intraprendere viaggi fuori reykjavik. A me è piaciuta molto!

Great location ! The apartment was clean and comfortable ! There’s a grocery store 5 minutes away and near tourist attractions

Good location 10-15 mins easy walk into town. Simple to find and park on the street outside (for free) Powerful shower and comfortable main bedroom bed with a variety of pillows. Also the first Airbnb I have rented where leaving my washing up was expected/came under the cleaning fee along with putting bins out etc. Brilliant! Made for a much more relaxed departure. Be aware the glass is single pane in all windows so on very cold evenings (it was -8 plus windchill when I arrived) it was a little cool for me in the apartment even with the radiators all whacked right up. However, generally more than warm enough.

Jette’s house is ideally located to get into Reykjavík and to get out into the absolutely stunning countryside. Located just of the motorway But well soundproofed and superbly insulated you certainly won’t get cold. Jette stayed in contact just enough but felt approachable at the same time. Plenty of grocery shops around so you can cook in the well equipped kitchen. By car it takes about 5-10 mins to get into the old town. Have fun.

It is a cozy, warm, comfortable, and convenient apartment—perfect for our family of four. It was really nice to be able to relax and cook some easy dinners in this apartment after our long days exploring the areas around Reykjavik. An amazing stay in an amazing city. The host was incredible attentive and proactive in offering suggestions for things to do. The apartment is warm, charming and well kitted out. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend.A fantastic location too!

Top tier Air BnB!!!! This flat was exactly as advertised and perfect for our family of 4! Hosts were amazing from when we booked- months before our trip they sent us amazing recommendations on what to do and how to do it! We did many of the activities and they were AMAZING! We loved being a short drive from the big city and having more of the quiet suburb feel! The town is lovely and quaint- we appreciated the proximity to Costco and local grocery shops and restaurants. Would be walkable to great food and coffee easily, but we had hiked a lot!!! Lovely place with exceptional hosts, book if you are thinking about out. It’s a gem!!!

Great apartment, loads of room. Grocery 10 minutes walk away, city centre 30 mins walk away. Host very quick to respond to queries. We had a lovely time.

First of all Iceland is magic. Staying at Greipur’s place was the perfect place to return to and continue the spell. He is very communicative and helpful. The apartment is well equipped and marvelously eclectic.
