Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Wooden, warm house for six people. Perfectly integrated into the lava field at the foot of the extinct GRABROK volcano, which you can enter almost straight from home :). Beautiful views and silence. Only the sounds of nature can be heard. An ideal place to observe the northern lights (no city lights). Just 300 meters from the main road No. 1. Fully equipped kitchen. Perfectly clean drinking water flows from the tap. The jacuzzi is already working :) There are bubbles and it's nice :) !!!

Bjarmaland is an old stonehouse in Hvammstangi. It's a small house, about 55m2 and has three floors with two rooms on the ground floor; Bathroom and Kitchen, the entrance at the first floor, and a cozy Bedroom/Living room on the second floor. The kitchen and living-room are in the same space where you have two beds, a sleeping sofa and a wonderful view of the sunset or the northern lights - if you're lucky. Eyri Seaside Houses is a cozy, warm and new guesthouse with a great ocean view on our small horse farm. We usually have horses at home, and if you like, you can contact us and we’ll let you pet them with us! We’re located in Hvammstangi but still very private, with only the ocean and landscape in view. There are a lot of birds at the beach, and there’s even a chance to spot seals. Occasionally whales enter the fjord, but you’ll need a lucky day to see them.

Cozy house by the sea, big garden and great view.

Get close to nature at Bessastaðir. Cozy old house with warm character, big garden, many bird species around. The view is magnificent all year round, amazing sunset and sunrise. The house is close to the sea and it is very nice to take walk to there and listen to the mysterious sound of the sea and seabirds. You are also free to take walk around our land, as long as you are not walking on our hay fields.
