Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross. If you want to go a little further away, It is easy to get to Kings Cross taking the Thameslink from Charlton station. They run one an hour. Coal Drops Yard has many shops and stores and is designed by Thomas Heatherwick.
King’s Cross is one of the largest and most exciting redevelopments in London. What was an underused industrial wasteland has been transformed into a new part of the city with homes, shops, offices, galleries, bars, restaurants, schools, and even a university. It is a 15-minute direct tube journey from Turnpike Lane Station.
There's been a huge regeneration project around Kings Cross - there are now tonnes of independent shops, great restaurants and bars in the area around the station (and market stalls at the weekend). Really worth a visit.
