What a great place to stay! Convenient to where we had to go. Nice little town. Fassil was very responsive to any questions we had! Very clean. Lots of room nice outdoor area as well. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!!!

Peg is wonderful. She’s professional while also being kind, generous, and friendly 🙂 I’ve now stayed at both her “Owl House” and the “Casa Picoflor.” They’re similarly charming and well maintained. I’d recommend to everyone!* * - With just 2 exceptions: 1) those who wish to do lots of cooking with a lot of food prep, since counter space next to stove is limited, and 2) those who have difficulty driving on narrow roads, as there’s a ~1/2-mile stretch that won’t fit 2 cars side by side

One should have a car here, but access to some spectacular trails is just up the road and easily walkable. We greatly appreciated the snacks provided by the hosts upon our arrival. Dana and John were very welcoming and made us feel that we made the right choice from the start. The road to the house is a bit challenging on the first trip up to the house, but you get used to it. There is hardly any traffic on the road. The location is ideal if you want to explore Mt Tam, Fairfax, Muir Woods and Beach, and Point Reyes. We found the apartment to be very comfortable and quiet.

A great little place to stay in San Rafael, looks exactly like the photos. It’s totally self contained and has everything you need, stocked with all basic items so I was set up straight away and was well equipped and comfortable during my entire stay. Amazing location, very close to all the shops, transport hub and fabulous walking in the hills behind. Laura was great on liaising before and during my stay on anything I needed, but my time there was made so much more special by the wonderful Aileen who owns the place - she’s so welcoming, turned up with the most delicious hot pumpkin bread on my first day and was an absolute angel throughout my time there - I had a few personal things going on during my stay and she was an absolute rock, going way beyond any expectation I had of a host, which was hugely appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful month at your place :)

Great place to stay! Had all of the available amenities and then some! The bottle of wine and coffee was super thoughtful! The building was clean and within walking distance of downtown. I would recommend this listing to anyone looking for a nice place to stay!

Julia was responsive, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. She brought extra supplies and was flexible on check out time. Great spot!

My stay was so peaceful! Loved having breakfast outside in the patio area. Robert the host was so kind and gave me a few great tips about the area. The place has all the little things you need when you are staying elsewhere that other hosts might not consider. Thank you Robert!

A great stay, once again! This was my second stay at David's place, which I extended by a few weeks. It's safe to say that I have enjoyed my time there. David made a few more improvements while I was there, which I much appreciate. The curtains on the front window are nice, and the address sign out front will certainly help with check-ins after dark. Es war unser zweiter Aufenthalt und wir können diese Unterkunft all denen empfehlen, die zu zeit unterwegs sind und einen wunderbaren, gemütlichen Rückzugsort und gleichzeitig eine super Homebase für Ausflüge in die Bay-Area haben wollen. Die Lage ganz in Nähe der Richmond-Bridge ist genial! Kommen gerne ein weiteres Mal.

Katie’s place was just right for additional sleeping space close to our daughter’s family at Thanksgiving. Easy walk to great shops and restaurants, too. Katie was very helpful with questions. We would stay here again.

Candi was proactive and went to great length to ensure we had a good time while visiting our daughter. We'll definitely stay here again.

My family would definitely stay again. The place is spacious, great kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Easy check-in and Donny is great at communicating with us for anything we needed. The issue is how the doors don’t really close/lock. They also don’t have keyless code pad, so if you lose the key it wouldn’t be great. Comfy bed and clean sheets. Plenty of towels. And a parking spot available.

We loved our stay in the country. It was convenient to get to wine tasting and to parks and hiking. The only thing we didn’t like was that we could hear truck traffic from the highway but it was minor (didn’t keep us awake but noticeable). It’s a beautiful place. We loved the sheep and how green it was this time of year. The cheese was delicious!

Anya's place is peaceful and relaxing -- a great place to stay in this beautiful area. The bed is very comfortable, and the desk a lovely place to work! We were very happy with our stay.

We enjoyed our stay and we will return. The kitchen was well appointed. Water pressure and heat were good. King size bed was comfortable. Bonus - dimmer switches on all lights!

This is a very chic boutique style one bedroom apartment in a beautiful house newly renovated in Marin County. Downtown has a bunch to offer, from coffee to great local restaurants, places to shop and still very central to many locations to explore. You can head to the city quickly or you visit gorgeous places to hike, see beautiful scenery or sit on a lovely beach. When we had questions or needs, Kress was accommodating. She even went out of her way to let us borrow kitchenware we needed and ordered something we needed for the stay she previously didn’t have at her airbnb. This is a great place to stay at if you want to be slightly removed from the city but still have a decent drive to explore! Kress is a nice host that allows you your privacy but also the right amount of interaction you are willing to have if you choose to. Some points of interest are Point Reyes National Seashore, Mount Tamalpais State Park, Muir Woods, and Golden Gate Bridge viewing areas just to name a few :)

My stay at Jessica’s place was amazing! I wanted privacy without feeling isolated like in a hotel, and this was perfect. From the start, I felt welcomed Jessica is incredible, and her daughter is adorable. We had a great conversation on my first day, and she even offered me two fascinating books to read, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere of her home was exactly what I needed to reconnect with myself. The bathroom was one of my favorite parts spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. The room had everything I was looking for, and the energy of the house was something you just don’t find in a hotel. This is definitely a place I’d return to again and again. Jessica is a fantastic host, and I highly recommend staying here. If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming place with amazing energy, this is the one. Five stars!

My Son an I did a 5 day stay. The place was very centrally located on the pacific coast. The place was very cozy, clean and comfortable with outstanding ocean views from everywhere in the cabin. Good parking for two vehicles. Weather was so so, but did not hindered us a bit. We hiked at Muir Woods, the overlook and the beach all within 5 minutes away. We were able to go to San Francisco multiple times 35 minutes to do half day lunches or dinners and Sausalito 20 minutes. Yeshi was very responsive when we communicated, but really needed little assistance. The home is older and very charming. It reminded me of my own house growing up. Would definitely stay here again.

I loved my stay here! Maryam was a great host and her place was lovely. The bedroom was comfy and cozy, and everything was tidy and spotless. There's a really nice walking path along the water. Would definitely visit again!

Clean, quiet, and spacious—perfect for families. We enjoyed all the amenities; the unit is close to a shopping area and supermarket so you can get whatever you need for a comfortable stay. A good, simple place to rest after a day of exploring. The host was easy to communicate with.

This is the perfect sanctuary away from all the hustle and bustle, nestled against a beautiful backdrop of nature and greenery, and close enough to drive into town or take a walk to a local cafe or bakery. We were 10 minute drive to many wineries and to Sonoma Plaza so it was very convenient. Allen was responsive and made our stay easy and pleasant.

Such a peaceful location and place to stay. The location looks just like the photos- cute, unique and clean.

We have stayed at all three accommodations on Mark's property during the past year. They have all worked great for the two of us who have previously lived a couple of miles away for over 40 years. All three units are clean, well-maintained, and as described. They are well-furnished and conveniently located near good restaurants, Marin, and SFO attractions.
