This place was amazing. Clean, had everything we needed and not far from the beach. My husband and I try to get to Matagorda once a year, Matt & Suzie's Studio space will be our go to place.

we really enjoyed our stay here, if we had a question they responded right away. cool thing is we were their first renters. We did a lot of fishing, hopefully next time we go it won't be so windy. We caught reds,drums, sting rays and not my fave cat fish 😆....but we recommend this place

If you want a serene, not crowded escape, this is it. the beach was full of debris, not like the pictures, that can happen at any beach. one side is the canal to fish and the other is the beach. Perfect!

We went on a quick fishing getaway weekend with my brothers and had an amazing time. Rose’s place was perfect for all seven of us. We spent most of our time outside, fishing and barbecuing, thanks to the fantastic waterfront view. The inside of the home was clean and comfortable, which is what we typically look for, thumbs up! Rose was always very responsive and helpful whenever we needed assistance. Needless to say, we will definitely be back again!

Stayed at the Surf House as a quick family vacation. It was great. The canal deck on the house with the beach at 200 steps was the best and why we stayed here. The house is nice and kept up very well! It’s like a bunk house don’t expect private rooms but is great for family or a group of guys coming down to fish. We absolutely loved it all. Thank you guys would stay again.

This was perfect for us. We were on short time, booked same day, and it was a seamless process. As for the stay itself, completely adorable. Direct view of the ocean, smell of salt air, well lit, secure (felt very safe here). Everything in the home was immaculate and well stocked with utensils etc. Bed was comfortable. Windmill fan/chandelier was my favorite touch. Would definitely recommend and will certainly stay here again. This booking was an absolute pleasure start to finish. Thank you!

The house layout is quite nice as kids had their own area upstairs, and adults downstairs. Beautiful views of the gulf from the decks. Had everything we needed to make a wonderful week away with family. House was clean and tidy. Appreciated the dog friendly accommodations. The walkway to the beach is just at the corner of the backyard making a short walk to explore the beach. Neighbors do use the walkway as well, so just something to be aware of. We want to return to the area as we had a lot of fun fishing, crabbing and spending time on the beach. It worked out well using the outdoor outlet downstairs to have our small freezer for all the fresh seafood.

We loved the condo! Yes, it's outdated but the view makes up for it. The private deck was amazing especially at night. It's close to the beach and you have everything you need within distance. Great place to stay. We will definitely be back.

This was the perfect spot for our four-family getaway! Lots of room for people to crash. The place wasn’t super fancy or pristine, but it was clean and we have to remember. We’re at the beach, so it was perfect. The washing machine was out on one side, but we were able to use it on the other side. The biggest bummer was that on the first day we were crossing over the dunes to the beach, the kids came upon a rattlesnake so from then on, we had to drive around. So note to self, just be aware! Overall, we had a great time! Patricia is a great host!!

We loved our weekend at the house! Exactly as shown— beautiful views, comfortable space, and Patti was extremely helpful and responsive. We will definitely be back!

Took a quick getaway with the family. We really enjoyed the beach because it wasn’t crowded and the dock to the bay was perfect for fishing. This place was perfect for our family of 6!

Patti did a great job communicating throughout our stay here! We had a little mix up when checking in, but she was quick to respond and helped us get fully situated. The place itself was clean and organized. Beautiful spot!

We had a great time at kandas place the kids loved every second of it if you’re looking for a fun summer house to have a good time with family and friends this is the place to be easy access,easy to find,swimming pool was perfect the fishing was ok we caught some nice catfish will definitely be coming back this summer..

The beach house was an absolute dream! Beautifully decorated and thoughtful touches throughout; my kids wanted to move in permanently. There was a small issue regarding types of grills available, but Kandas was quick with a resolution that perfectly rectified the issue. She was a wonderful and super responsive before and during our stay!

We greatly enjoyed our fishing trip to Matagorda Bay and staying at this location right on the beach was just perfect in every way!

Beautiful house! Loved watching the barges/tugboats go by in the canal. Caught many blue crab and grilled steaks. Ocean side was gorgeous and nice breeze. This is a great place for families or a “couples” retreat to get away and relax.

This is our second time staying at the house and it was just as amazing at two years ago. I loved watching the sunrise on the front deck with coffee (they have normal coffee pot and Kurig). The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean. Carla was helpful and responsive with questions. We also loved the sunsets from the back deck. There were tons of mosquitos, so be prepared with OFF!!

We had a great stay in Matagorda! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was friendly and responsive, which made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Unplugged was everything I hoped for. Peaceful, quiet, great views of/easy access to water. The hosts are so thoughtful having things available to do indoors ie: movies, puzzles and mindful coloring books and the best equipped kitchen that included a sharp chefs knife which I really appreciated! If I return to Matagorda I will definitely be staying here again -but longer! 😊
