Titiwai Conservation Retreat

Titiwai is a stunning, architecturally designed, unique space set in 50 ha of a gated, native conservation estate. This tranquil home is stylish and contemporary, celebrating many designer features, furniture and fixtures from local artists and craftspeople. Large sliding doors open the back and entire front, creating indoor/outdoor flow onto extensive decking which steps down onto landscaped native gardens, seating and bush tracks. The views of the coast, offshore islands are breathtaking.

Here in the far east are the first in the world to see the light of day. Known for our laid-back surf culture, superior Chardonnay and aromatic wines, fertile soils and abundance of local produce. This modern retreat offers the perfect balance of rural peace and coastal convenience, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and our very own persimmon orchard. A 7min (6.3km) drive to town beaches, a 6min (4.4km) drive to town and a 10min (6.3km) drive to the air port.

Surrounded by the bush, our unique cosy studio is a welcome retreat. Breakfast and good coffee is provided for our guests. Situated at the top of a hill with good views. We are within walking distance to the beautiful Nga Tapuwai o Toi walking track, 5 mins drive to Ohope beach and Whakatane town. Listen to the call of native birds, including Kiwi. Sit on the deck and watch the sun go down. This is a great place to unwind and relax.

Home heating is provided by a beautiful freestanding fire fuelled by wood harvested from the property sustainably while hot water is from our solar system ( bathing in the sunshine )

Take in views of Whakaari from this spacious home, conveniently located between Ohiwa Harbour and the sea. Just a short stroll down for a swim in either direction. Plus an outdoor shower with hot water. Perfect for families, small groups, or an escape for two this architecturally designed home offers open-plan living, loads of sun and decks on both sides so you can choose a comfortable spot to take in the views.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. One bedroom separate guesthouse. Situated on the outskirts of Gisborne (5 min drive to the centre of town). Private, very quiet and relaxing with beautiful outlook. Unit very modern and has aircon for those cold winter nights and hot summer evenings. Nespresso coffee machine (including pods) and breakfast (muesli, weetbix, vogels and spreads) provided.

Ohope international Links Golf course, Wairere Falls, Julian’s Berry Farm are 3 of a few places within easy walking distance. A few restaurants and cafes are also within easy walking distance to your accommodation.
