Boat ramp and swimming 200 m away at the end of the street, and the rowing course and cafe are 5 minutes walk just the other side of the Karapiro dam. 2 canoes, paddles and lifejackets, sunny outdoor decks, BBQ and fantastic views make this a special place to relax. The well renowned Wairere Falls walking track is only 3km from the cottage for those keen to get out and enjoy the beautiful nature walk. Opal Hot Springs is a 5-minute drive and the best way to relax and unwind. Matamata is a 12-minute drive with excellent food options and various tour bus options out to the Hobbiton movie set.
