Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

This Dairy Barn built in 1912 is completely remolded, beautiful wood work with 13 stairs access to the top 1000 sq.ft. floor loft. Drive around the back where parking is provided next to stair entrance. Full kitchen and bathroom, one queen bed, one fold out Futon couch, gas heat stand alone fireplace. Very private. Self check in.

There is ample parking on site for truck and trailer. Enjoy nature and hiking at beautiful Cascade Falls, which is also only minutes away.

As a farm and since we live on site, our suite will still be allowed under BC's new AirBnB restrictions. With its own private entrance, this bright, south facing suite offers 2 acres of outdoor space with views of Mount Baker from our partially covered patio. Hike one of the nearby trails, feed our chickens, ducks or goats, or just watch the grass grow. Ask about seasonal homestead workshops like making cheese or picking your own apples and making fresh cider.
