What a wonderful, peaceful oasis! The treehouse at the Shire is just incredible! The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. The grounds and property are just stunning. There are also trails and a trail map to adventure on the property. They also have a very sweet pup, Bo, who became best friends with my dogs (after a friendly introduction and me asking if he was free to play). I can’t say enough positive things about this place! Great location to hike and have a peaceful respite, but close to restaurants too! Also, LGBTQ+ friendly!

It’s small, but that’s what we were looking for, as we spent a lot of time away from the cabin. The cabin contained everything that we needed, and was not overstuffed with extra stuff.

I had a wonderful weekend at this cabin! It’s cozy, clean, and well-equipped. The view is beautiful. Perfect for relaxing and disconnecting for a bit. The host was very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely come back!

Came for the Fall colors; left in love with the place! Small but delightful. Cluttered in the most fantastical way. Nestled in paradise. Bonnie is so nice and friendly! Pay attention to the fact that the toilet is not attached to house. Short walk to privet and very clean!

Beautiful place. Lovely decorated. I would say that it is probably a little expensive for staying there in the winter/ fall time. Only one of us could sit on the couch at a time due to its location by the tv. The shower is really small and there is no room for toiletries in the bathroom at all. There is a rack but I had to keep all my bathroom stuff in bags the entire time because it is just lacking in space. I would think The price is worth it if you’re staying there in the summer and get to use the lake.

We absolutely loved our stay in Becka's bungalow at the blueberry farm. Such a peaceful and beautiful place! The bungalow had everything we needed for our stay and more. Becka was so helpful with anything we needed. The eggs were delicious and we loved the animals. We also enjoyed hiking to Schoodic Mountain directly from the farm. We would love to come back. Thank you so much!

We have rented this adorable log cabin many times and look forward to our next visit! The host is very responsive and friendly and we can not recommend this lovely stay enough.

A wonderful couple and cute shack under the stars! I really enjoyed my stay at the Shackhilton. Karen and Peter were very friendly and came out to help me get settled and kept me entertained with great banter. The place was very clean and cozy. I would definitely go back!

This space was so cute and comforting! Clean and organized especially for being a small space. Philip was attentive and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this space and booking with Philip again!

My wife and I came here after our wedding on a 'mini-moon' just to get away and reflect on our wedding. We've been here once before, and this trip was just as good as the last, even though the weather wouldn't cooperate most of the weekend. The hosts were again very proactive and responsive - we had one very minor issue (that I wouldn't have even mentioned) and the host proactively reached out to apologize for the minor inconvenience. They also left us a little somethng to commemorate our wedding and make us feel special. We again couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a memorable, unplugged escape.

My wife and I were both very pleased. Private, beautiful setting, rain or shine. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were very complete.

The location was convenient and easy to find, I really enjoyed the space.

We thought this was a wonderful Air BandB! It is a modern, well built building nestled in the woods with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Everything is clean and comfortable, easy parking and a very nice deck. You are within 10 minutes of good restaurants, a great food coop and nice hikes. We would definitely return!

My partner and I had a great fall getaway here with our dog this past weekend. The cabin is surrounded by trees with beautiful fall color. The cabin was warm and cozy with the heater on, and it was easy to cook inside. We had great time sitting near the fire pit outside, and walking along the lovely trail to the dock. Emily and Matthew were also easy to communicate.

This house is everything you need for a reset. It was like being in your own personal spa. The decor was perfection. The fence in the backyard made it very private. I went here with my sisters for a sister’s night away/spa night. It was wonderful. I can’t wait to come back again.

Peaceful cabin in the woods, easy to find and deep enough in the woods that you feel like you are far from everything so no noise and lota of stars. But town is just about 10 mins away.

This place is pure heaven. Solitude and super peaceful. Sam was super communicative and check in was a breeze. The fire pit overlooking the water was a treat and Sam had the heater on prior to my arrival. Woke up to the sound of rain on the roof and some bald eagles flying overhead. Exactly what I needed to escape the chaos of the city.

This place was so so soooo wonderful. it perfectly had everything we needed for a little getaway. No phones, just nature in private. the space is so cute and the decor is lovely. It was well thought out and just LOVELY. Would definitely stay again!

Charming little cottage on the lake! Had a lot of fun, easy to get to town and the lake was serene and peaceful. Great place to stay!

We loved our stay at the cabin! Slept better than we do back home. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, but this was a perfect location for us to have as a base for 2 nights surrounding our day spent at Acadia Nat’l Park (only an hour away!). Beautiful property and surroundings, truly loved the outdoor shower in nature. Most pristine camping toilet I’ve ever seen, bar none! Hosts do a great job maintaining cleanliness between guests. Would absolutely stay here again.

My friend and I stayed here for our annual ice fishing trip and this location was great with all the beautiful bodies of water surrounding! Close to a handful of easy access points for ice fishing or for open water fishing. The home itself is cute and lovely with everything you’d need.
