We were very fortunate to stay in this cabin. It is very well kept up inside and out. You will find everything you need to enjoy your stay. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we noticed on the table was an anniversary card from our host Robin. The card was very thoughtful and appreciated. We will be booking again.

Elisabeth was such a wonderful host, extremely communicative and responsive. The property was gorgeous and described perfectly. From the hottub instructions, to the heads up about the narrow staircase, nothing at the property was a surprise or unexpected. Very peaceful and relaxing, April was the perfect time to visit, in our opinion. Nothing crazy going on nearby, not too busy anywhere we went including State Parks, and restaurants. Weather was beautiful and the fresh air was much needed. My husband and I have decided we’d like to make this an annual trip and continue to stay at this property when possible.

We had a great stay, the place was very clean, it has everything you need, plenty of space for our family of 7, Beautiful surroundings. The gas fireplace was perfect for the cold weather. The location is peaceful and quiet and close to food and activities. Julian is a great host, very attentive and responsive. We definitely recommend this place.

House was a perfect get away with the family, very secluded and we really enjoyed the house. Tracy had lots of board games for our kids and made us feel like home. Tracy was very responsive at all times and will definitely stay here again. Having a Big Green Egg was an extra, I love grilling and used it everyday for cooking.

My wife and I just spent our wedding anniversary here this past weekend it was such a beautiful place we had the best of both worlds with the hot tub and the fishing was great off the dock. Caught a ton of catfish and smallmouths. The gift she left us for anniversary too was very thoughtful. Mimi is an amazing host and she responded to all my questions in a very positive and timely manner We are coming back again and again and again Thank you.

We had a wonderful experience in the area and the space worked out really well. Would love to visit again!

We were having our family Christmas get together and was so happy that the house was still beautifully decorated for Christmas. That made our gathering extra special! The house was perfect for our group!

We loved our stay at Jake's place! It was so cute, nicely decorated, and had literally everything you would need (even things like a toothbrush, chapstick, etc!) Seems like they thought of everything. There is even a nugget ice machine. The view is just gorgeous too, not sure there is a better one in Highlands!

Host was very good at providing information to us prior to check in. Place was clean and accommodating. Very convenient for events near Green Pond landing. The covered boat storage is an amazing plus for fisherman!

The cabin is PERFECT for two people. The kitchen has enough stuff to prepare meals, the refrigerator big but has no ice maker. The store on the corner has plenty of ice. The king bed is comfy and has enough blankets The porches are where we spent A LOT of time. Our dog loves the creek & yard. I do not worry much about her there as the side yard is mostly fenced ( the creek isn't fenced ) There is a fire pit with split wood enough for many fires, utensils to start and maintain your fire. There are motion lights at the cabin entrances and a big pole mounted switched street light. The cabin is a 10 minute drive to Clayton on all paved road with few sharp curves. We have stayed there 4 times and intend to take our dog there for another vacation soon.

Scott was responsive to all requests/concerns we had during our stay. The amenities are A+ and the cabin is very spacious with multiple areas to congregate or separate! With the exception of hiking Station Cove Falls trail, attending a Christmas Eve service, and fishing at a childhood fishing spot, we found that the amenities of this cabin were very sufficient for the 5 days we were there. An important detail to note on this review is that the bedroom on the main level has a queen bed. The other 3 bedrooms are up a very steep flight of stairs. The room with the king-sized bed does not have a single bed, as indicated on the site. For my family of 6 adults, we found that this cabin sleeps only 5 comfortably. There are 2 cots, one on the upper level and one on the basement level along with a futon-style sofa. Scott has put a lot of thought into making this property a vacation home waiting to make special memories for families who stay here!

I think we’ve found our home away from home! I have never stayed any place where I felt so welcomed.

This property is phenomenal. House is adorable and clean and has everything you could possibly need. The location is so very cool on the river and so much privacy and space. The owner is very helpful, responsive, and has really taken perfect care of the place. Really an amazing vacation rental and would love to go back anytime and would highly suggest for anyone wanting to be in this area. This is the place to be!

We stay in a cabin and hike every spring break and this was def a favorite. We lived on the back porch with the stream right there! It is peaceful and the sound carries in the whole house. This cabin is also very close to so many hikes. Mud creek falls hike was easily the best waterfall hike we have done. Host answered questions quickly and was easy to work with. Was a beautiful easy stay for being right in nature.

Easy check in- it’s it’s in a nice remote little area in nature- a little sad I didn’t get to see a bear (kidding) lol but it was super convenient and close to what we needed! We went to visit my son in Clemson - and it was a perfect spot! Chill- cozy- quiet!

Great place on the lake. Loved the doggie door in the kitchen. All the appliances (stove, toaster, microwave, oven, and grill) all worked like new. We blew the breaker with too many things going at once, but someone returned our call immediately and we got it fixed. Kids and husband loved the massage chair after boating all day. Highly recommend The Overlook at Chickasaw Point. Amazing food and view of golf course. We brought our own paddle board and kayaks (and boat) so dock was used daily. FYI, stairs on dock might need to be repaired, boards are broken. Overall. I would recommend this place and stay here again.

This cabin has so much charm and personality you can’t help from feeling so cozy the minute you open the door. The layout of the cabin is perfect if you are traveling with friends or family. It was a little rainy during our stay so we didn’t get to utilize the fire pit area but I am sure that would have been an added bonus. The drive to downtown Clayton was a quick simple trip. We enjoyed shopping on Main St and dined out as well. We look forward to staying at this little gem in the mountains again.

My husband and I stayed at Heather’s place for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The location was so peaceful and beautiful, instructions were clear, and Heather left us plenty of snacks for the week and also local hiking recommendations. We feel so rested after our stay, and we’re already ready to plan our next visit!!!

Perfect Lake Hartwell gem, so close to Clemson and right on the lake. So many beds! Wonderful multiple family house!

Soul's Rest is a rustic cabin with modern conveniences. So much charm! The owners obviously spend time there themselves. The showers have wonderfully hot water with nice pressure. The kitchen, although small, is well-stocked. The beds have nice linens and wonderfully comfortable mattesses. We all slept well. The yard is well-tended and beautiful. There is a creek in the back yard. The home is a little secluded, but you are 5 minutes from town. Our family had a wonderful little getaway there!
