Our place is situated at the beautiful Ohope beach, 2 minute walk from a very popular swimming and surfing beach (great for learners), 5-7 minute drive to shops, wharf, golf course, bush walks, restaurant and cafes. My place is close to beaches, bush and the famous Motu cycle way. You’ll love my place because of the friendly welcome, the little extras AND the comfy bed!! Only 2 hours driving from either Tauranga, Rotorua or Gisborne - a good resting point. Lovely quiet cottage set on lifestyle block with many chickens and sheep. 3 minutes driving to fabulous Waiotahi beach and only 10 minutes into Opotiki for cafes and shopping. Peace and tranquility - leave the city behind.

Only 400 metres walk to main beach access, good fishing with Surfcasting or Kontiki fishing or maybe take a stroll or relax and enjoy this lovely beach. 7 minutes drive to shopping, supermarket. You can hear the ocean while lying in bed :) 'The DogBox' got its name when my dog Cooper (RIP) refused to come into our new house when we built it, preferring to sleep in the guesthouse.
