Our lovingly and sympathetically restored cottage is perfect for families and/or friends. Once a barn, then a bank, now a cosy home, it sits close to the Lake District in the new Yorkshire Dales National Park on the coast to coast route. Orton is a friendly village with a shop, primary school, a welcoming pub, a famous chocolate factory and a tea room. There is a local market once a month in the village square. It is in a beautiful unspoilt quiet valley, ideal for walking, biking or exploring.

Miller’s Rest is a self-contained one bedroom cottage with private parking with EV charger, 2miles from Orton, 5 miles from Shap. The cottage is peaceful with plenty of space and all modern amenities. The bespoke kitchen is well equipped, living room has a log burner effect electric fire for those colder nights.
