We loved the beautiful lake views and that we could bring our dog with us. Stargazing while enjoying s’mores at the fire pit was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our third year in a row staying here and like always everything was perfect. Matthew is a great host, very responsive and always helpful. The property is perfect, always clean and clear instructions on check out. Has everything a family would need. This will always be our go to BNB when visiting Alpena. Pros- Stunning views from the living area to the lake. Plenty of sandy beach front with all the rocks you would ever want in the water. Impressively clean and beds were made like you were at a 5 star resort. Kim has raised the bar for being a host with Airbnb!! Kim is a 5 star host and thought of everything to make our stay like it was our home. Cons- I don’t have anything negative to say regarding the host, the cabin, the cleanliness, and the location. Kim mentioned this is not baby or child proof; the only concern I would have if I brought little ones would be the outside. There are steep steps down to the beach. Every house in this area has just as many steps down from the house to the beach. Plenty of beach area once you are there, just keep in mind if you pick up rocks, you will have to carry those up the steps.

Rachel’s house was comfortable from the start. Everyone including the pets found the house to be fun. The children loved the ability to fish right from the pier and to get out on the water with the 3 waterboard choices. The fire pit was nicely located being right outside the back door instead of down by the water. We found the Harrison location to fun as well. We will be back to Rachel’s house and Harrison.

It felt like the foundation was failing… floor was uneven.. bedroom door shut on it’s own…going in the bathroom felt like you were walking downhill…Drywall was put up without taping the seams or plastering over the nails…poor remodel work.

Perfect place to spend the weekend! House is small, but furnished perfectly, you do not feel cramped in any way! Beautiful views, nice pool and hot tub also! So glad we found this airbnb! I’d give 10 stars if possible.

The lease agreement is lengthy never had to do that for a 2 day stay and I’m not sure of the rationale. You have to pay and sign before getting the access code to the place. The description does say to ask if you have questions about the agreement before paying and I wish I would have but overall it was not a problem. The description is accurate; must bring your own sheets, bath towels, hand towels, soaps, shampoo, etc. They do provide dishes and silverware. Beach chairs and fire pit are right across the street. Lovedddd staying here in October it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. I would definitely stay here again!!

Loved this little gem - very homey. The view of the lake was wonderful and the neighborhood quiet and cozy. Lots of games to pass the time. Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. The laundry was super handy with our grandkids. Would love to return in the summer - hot tub was a treat in the spring cool weather!

House was clean and spacious. Parking was great for car or small trailer, tight parking for trailers over 18ft in the winter. Mallard road is not fully plowed. Overall was great for my needs.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was just as amazing as the first time. Great communication by the hosts and a beautiful home with all of the amenities. The location itself is private, beautiful and close to so many fun local attractions. We are so thankful we found this place and we are already excited to stay here again. Walk out basement to the few steps to get to the beach area. Well stocked kitchen. Recommend bringing your own water if desired ( well water I believe) . Beautiful sunsets. Game room was fun .. bring quarters to play though . Highly recommend

We loved staying here for a little weekend getaway! Dorene and John were so helpful and kind. The place was awesome so close to everything! Everything was so cozy and well put together, the hot tub with view is awesome!! We for sure will be back

The cottage was beautiful! With the lake outside the back door, and several outdoor spaces to relax in, this home would be a blast in the summer. We enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub, and the cozy spots inside during a snow storm. It was perfect getaway, and look forward to coming back!

This was such a beautiful location and perfect little cabin for a weekend away. The photos do not even do the location justice for how beautiful it is right on the water! Host was responsive when I had a question regarding how to use the heat and the area was quiet and peaceful. Truly a wonderful experience!

This was an outstanding cottage for a winter getaway for our family! It was a great location close to multiple ski resorts and downtown Gaylord. We enjoyed getting to ski, tube, horseback ride, and play in the snow outside of the cottage. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and everything was clean and cozy! It was perfect for what we were looking for. Dawn was an excellent communicator and didn’t hesitate to give us recommendations in the area and check in to make sure all is well. When we got snow overnight, there was even someone to shuffle and plow immediately in the morning. We would absolutely come back!

We spent a wonderful long weekend at Jill’s place and loved every minute. The cottage was exactly as described and shown in the pictures — tastefully decorated and very clean. The location felt secluded and peaceful, but was very close to dining and shopping. The deck is fantastic and the lake is beautiful. A very relaxing getaway spot. We will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful lake home. Everything is very nice & comfortable. We enjoyed the getaway very much. Loved looking at the peaceful lake. The updates are very tastefully done. Looks like a lot of time invested into every detail. It’s well stocked-lots of games too. Restaurants, stores, ice cream all within 5 miles. Highly recommend for R&R on a big lake. Thank you!

Jody is the ultimate host. She is a wonderful person and is there for you if you have any concerns. This was our second time at her house as we stayed there last year also. We feel like we’re at our home when we’re there. Just something about it like sitting and eating in the beautiful big back yard on the deck, or sitting at the kitchen table looking at Lake Huron and the back woods. It makes you appreciate being with your family and just enjoying each other’s company.

Great stay. This time of year you get all weather types. No matter, it's a beautiful spot and we love it! Great sunrises and starry nights are an added attraction. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay at Patrick’s place. Serenity Cottage was as described, and the view of Lake Huron was beautiful.
