Arty miners cottage, wild tin coast of Botallack

This old miners cottage has been colourfully transformed by the artist owner. Traditional granite walls keep the rooms cool in summer and on chilly evenings you can cosy up around the log burner. There is a good size garden with mature trees, a BBQ and outdoor dining area. It's the perfect base for exploring the mines of Botallack, where Poldark was filmed and is also close to many local beaches including Sennen Cove and Porthcurno. The house is not suitable for people with mobility issues.

The cottage is set in the walled kitchen garden, as well as having shared access to grounds of the main house, the swimming lake and woodland that forms the Trenoweth Estate. it is a mix of fabulously simple and rustic with all mod cons. Morgelyn Cottage is a lovely, recently renovated, comfortable and cosy, former Cornish Miner's cottage in a quiet village setting. The cottage is located in the heart of magical west Cornwall (Poldark territory!) close to the Coastal path. There are spectacular sea views from the cottage. At night time you can see the light from Pendeen lighthouse, stars and the twinkling lights of the local fishing boats. Dogs are welcome, there is wifi & off road parking at the front of the cottage.

The front bedroom has a King-size bed complete with a luxury Hypnos mattress. The smaller back bedroom has a single divan bed with a pocket sprung mattress.
