A rustic cabin in the woods for some R and R was what we had hoped for…and we got it! Beautiful wood beams. So nice to have a private bathroom, as well as a window unit for heat and A/C. The shared kitchen was less than 50 feet away and had all the cooking vessels, utensils and cookware to make a meal. But we loved going to cafe! Barbara and her team served up delicious meals.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay in Robin's cabin. Check-in was easy, with Robin greeting us and showing us where to park. Our stay was in April and the heater kept the cabin cozy all night. There were plenty of blankets as well. It was great being unplugged for the weekend and we slept well. The bathroom is a quick walk up to the house. While we didn't get to spend much time at the farm during the day, the stars and spring peepers were treats to experience at night. Overall a great stay!

I was there with my family. We all loved the place and would visit again and again.

It has become a tradition for us to come here to celebrate birthdays-as the site is so special and memorable.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cozy cottage! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a sweet personal note that made us feel right at home. The location is stunning, and we wish we could have explored the trails, but the weather and our other commitments kept us busy. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy everything this beautiful place has to offer!

This place was our best choice even before we realized there would be a freshly-prepared, multi-course gourmet breakfast. House is as advertised, clean, and well-located. Scott and Lisa are friendly, responsive, and fantastic cooks. Enjoy!

Heart Rock is a beautiful space for anyone looking for peace and serenity. We had a girls weekend and this was the perfect place to be. You can definitely tell so much love went into the property. We are so blessed and thankful to have spent a beautiful spring weekend there. We ventured out for part of the time and there are many wineries and breweries a little drive away. Also, Bilbo is the best! He hung out on the porch with us and loved to snuggle. Thank you again for sharing a piece of your heart with everyone who visits❤️

This was our second stay at the Humble Abode. Perfect place to enjoy the spring! Cozy cabin with a great deck and rocking chairs to sit in the mornings or evenings and enjoy the beautiful views. Great fire pit to sit around in the evening to enjoy the stars. Houston and Anne Marie were super responsive and helpful, including taking time out of their day to get the outdoor shower working and bring up more firewood. Our 2 dogs had a great time as well, lounging around with us on the porch or watching us play cornhole later in the day. Would highly, highly recommend the Humble Abode for those looking for a comfy, peaceful getaway. We hope to be back ourselves!

Tremendous setup and tremendous hosts! Pictures match and the communication was above and beyond. Will definitely attempt to stay again in the future. Highly recommend!

From the moment we saw the listing for Mark & Mandi’s place we knew it was special. Everything, from the booking to communicating with the hosts to arriving at the place to our experience during the stay was nothing short of magical. Aside from the house being the most beautiful house we’ve ever seen, the region is gorgeous and has so much to offer. We had some of the best foods and wines in the area, thanks to Mark & Mandi’s excellent recommendations. My partner is omnivore and I am vegan and gluten free and still had some of the best meals of my life. Some places that we fell in love with aside from the house itself include the Shenandoah Caverns (tour and gift shop), the Little Grill (excellent farm-fresh breakfast with vegan and gluten free options), Clementine Café, Smiley’s ice cream, the Blue Mountain Brewery, the Vinyl Asylum, the Book Fair (wholesale books!), the Factory Antique Mall, the Dayton Market… the list goes on! We will certainly be coming back! Thank you so much ❤️

Beautiful home in an amazing setting! The house had everything needed and the property was even better than the photos. Very quiet and private. Host was friendly and responsive. Can’t recommend enough!

We had such a great experience staying here; from the host, views, trails, and Limpy the chicken. This is exactly the getaway we needed for our anniversary. The tiny home was adorable and felt like home away from home. Thank you Zach for hosting! Can’t wait to visit again.

We booked this cabin for our anniversary trip and it was nothing short of amazing! It was in a great location, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and incredibly cozy. There was even fresh baked cookies, snacks, and all the things to make you feel right at home! Unfortunately a local wildfire cut our stay super short but Jessica was responsive and quick to communicate during the emergency. We appreciated her understanding when we decided to go home altogether - we were so saddened to leave early but we would absolutely book another trip here to try again!

Ann was a great host. She answered questions fast and was very friendly. The place was just as described and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The running water from the stream could be heard from inside and it was very peaceful. There is only 1 parking spot fyi so be sure to take just one car. The only thing I would change is to have another small lamp in the downstairs (I hate overhead lights). Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

We just got back from a few days at the Overlook. It was the most peaceful and relaxing getaway we’ve had in a while. The view can’t be beat, the space is SO clean and the attention to detail is perfection. We came here to reconnect and escape reality after our son was diagnosed with cancer this past year. We were able to do just that, as soon as you walk onto the deck you feel so secluded. This trip was so important to us and I don’t think we could’ve chosen more perfectly. The Overlook will be a special place for us to remember and we will definitely be back as soon as we get another chance to get away! Thanks Anthony, for creating such a beautiful space.. ***I think my favorite surprise was the heated floors in the bathroom lol!! You truly thought of everything!! Thanks again!***

This was our second time visiting (our last visit was at the smaller hobbit hole) and it was just as charming. Marlan is a great and personable host and the property is clean. The fridge is stocked with essentials, there is coffee and tea, and some other pantry basics. My partner and I visited with our 2 small children and we all had a lovely time. There is a fire pit just outside thats perfect for roasting smores and there's plenty to do within a 30 minute drive. We visited Harrisonburg and the Shenandoah caverns. A lovely stay!

Super cozy, spacious, relaxing and secluded stay at the cottage! We enjoyed our time and hope to return! Love the hot tub, bed was comfy, and complimentary wine. The Flyin Lion was a great place to eat in town.

Wonderful place to stay with beautiful access to the river, I am so grateful I was able to spend my weekend here! Ned and Holly were responsive and everything was provided that I needed. Very kid-friendly so I hope to return with my toddler some day :)

Julia's place is an Idyllic setting - so tranquil, yet close enough to a great tavern for dinner. Amazing - we cannot wait to come back.

This is the cutest little get away spot ! So peaceful and beautiful! The animals is such a plus there so sweet and kind. We met our host she was so friendly kind and informative about their farm and what they do! I will be back !!!

We loved our stay at the Hobbit House! We stayed as a couple with pets and appreciated the peaceful and natural surroundings with birds, deer, and bunnies. The home is incredibly unique with loads of charm so you’ll feel like you’re really in a JRR Tolkien novel. We appreciated the friendliness and responsiveness of the hosts, who attended quickly to all of our questions. Good location 15 minutes from the National Park and all the beauty of the region, including charming towns and lush vineyards. We would go back in a heartbeat.

My girlfriend and I loved it at the cabin! It was such a cozy place in a beautiful area. Snickers the cat was definitely a highlight as well because we were not expecting to make such a cuddly new friend! The mornings are so peaceful and quiet as well. A really tranquil experience. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and simple retreat!
