Inspired by the show Tiny House Nation, I thought it would be fun to convert my small detached garage into my vision of a comfortable and modern living space with all the amenities. It's approx. 210 sq ft or 11 x 19 ft but has the feel of a much larger place . We are located in an amazing spot on the top of Queen Anne. Modern 1BR Apartment (ADU) in Queen Anne Craftsman

We created this ~650sqft modern 1BR apartment (ADU) in the basement of our 1926 craftsman, which is located on a quiet, residential street in Queen Anne with close proximity to downtown Seattle. We previously rented the unit to long-term tenants, but we recently decided to refresh it and furnish it for our own use as well as occasional short-term rentals. It has a separate, private entrance through our fenced-in and nicely-landscaped backyard.
