Cwtyn is a detached,stone built former swill house,used to prepare pig feed in the 19th century. It has been converted into a cosy self-catering cottage whilst retaining the original stone fireplace and slate hearth. It is now an open-plan space,compact and practical, with bathroom, kitchen, log burner,TV and Wi-Fi. Outdoors there is an enclosed space,slate patio,seating,fantastic views and private parking. Rural,peaceful and unique - a great base for exploring Snowdonia,Anglesey and Lleyn.

Only 15 mins from the nearest beach, with Portmadog, Criccieth and Pwllheli within easy reach. Just 5 miles from the historic town of Caernarfon and 30 mins to Bangor. A great area for walking and exploring.

From Bryn Awelon which translates as Breezy Hill, you can catch the sun glinting on the water of the Menai Straits, watch the mists swirling around the Rivals on the Llyn Peninsula, and if you are very lucky catch the sleeping elephant (Mynydd Mawr) shake the snow from her back.
