Follow local footpaths and cycle routes, and see nature at its best with Red Kites soaring in the skies above.

Magic Mountain Cottage: family- & dog-friendly

There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, at the end of a farmers track below Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture, owned by the same family for over 60 years. Please read all the details carefully before you book. It’s a 300 year old cottage on the side of a mountain, space, fresh air and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. No TV or wifi, but a woodburner, books and massive views behind the cottage.

Pretty sunny cottage, Machynlleth

A lovely old renovated cottage with inglenook fireplace, wood burning stove and mezzanine. It is well equipped for your stay as I have tried to make it a home from home for you with many books and houseplants. There will always be some welcome goodies and you can sleep in snuggly beds made up with 100% cotton or organic cotton sheets and feather and down duvets. The cottage is situated in the pretty wooded Dulas valley near the historic town of Machynlleth, close to Snowdonia and the sea.

Private Shepherds Hut with Hot Tub

‘Cut Y Barwn’ is a private Shepherds Hut located on the Southern edge of Snowdonia National Park. Situated just off the A458, 3 miles before Mallwyd and 8 minutes drive to Dinas Mawddwy, the hut has private access, parking, and farmland valley views. Our electricity is sourced through hydro power and our wood is from wind-fallen trees on the farm. We are dog friendly!
